  1. Alright, thanks everyone, I don't think I'll give up on my Legend. Thanks for the help!
  2. Wow, that's weird how the contrast was different . When I got my Legend, the contrast was very dark and I couldn't read the words, but I adjusted it so now I can. Thanks for helping! Is there anything else I should know? kittycatgirl
  3. Thanks! I'll try some fresh, new batteries. But I will try to exchange it if it doesn't work. Do I have to delete my coordinates before I exchange it? kittycg
  4. Okay, my grandmom has a GPS, and when I set out my first cache, Elk Edge (GCN050), my coordinates where N 39, 40.998 for the first set when it was supposed to be N 39, 39.998. I had the GPS on for a while, and it still was far off. The accuracy is always bad, and one time, my grandmom and I were doing a geocache not in much tree covering, and I kept loosing reception but hers was fine(she has a different GPS though). So I'm not sure what to do. kittycatgirl
  5. I have the same GPS, and my accuracy is always in the 20's, never below that. I would let it sit for an hour, and still accuracy in the 20's. I think it depends on the antenna for the accuracy to be lower. Hope I helped! kittycatgirl
  6. So there is nothing I can do? Someone said that I had the best kind around! Talk about best... ! kittycatgirl
  7. Thanks for the thoughts! Someone said I should take it back and exchange it...any thoughts?? kittycatgirl
  8. I hold the GPS flat in my hand near the window. So it does have a clear view. I don't think I am in Battery Save Mode, I still get confused with this thing ..let me check.
  9. I have a Garmin Etrex Legend(I think that is what it's called, it has that written on it ), and I keep loosing sattelite reception. When I'm driving, in the woods, and even when I am just standing somewhere, I will loose reception. Does anyone know why? Is there anything I can do about it? Thanks, Kittycatgirl
