Quadcache

I just have to put this in here to add to the fun. When I started I couldn't figure out what FTF meant for the life of me! I told my wife that it probably means Found The F!%$er! We still joke about that all the time!

I am still new and so far I have been forgetting my stuff to trade. I have mostly TNLNSL. I think that the reason I forget is because I am only in it for the hunt not the swag. Oh well. If I don't have something to trade then I don't take anything. All the stuff that I have to trade is worth at least $1 or more...if I can just remember it! Geez. Happy caching.

I am new to geocaching. I have been at it for little over a week. The first few days I got started I just went out and had a blast. I didn't know what I was doing but I just had fun. The fist thing that I noticed within 30 min of reading these forums is that people take this way to seriously! WOW. People mad about 5/5 caches being bad for the game/sport/hobby (whatever it is called), people mad about the forums, mad about the way others go about geocaching, mad about urban micros that you just drive right up to, you should have to take a test...on and on. Isn't the purpose to have fun and NOT take things so seriously? If you want to flame me then that's fine. It won't bother me. I am just stating what I have noticed since I am still a newbie. Happy geocaching! PS. That whole taking a test idea makes me fall over laughing! No, really. It does.

Not to be rude but your intial post sort of sounded like you didn't really have a clue. It just seemed like someone trying to get ready to hide a cache for the first time.

I am a newbie and it is the freedom of this hobby/sport/game that now has me addicted. We can't "dumb down" geocaching. The only caches out there would be 1/1 stars since anything harder might get some idiot hurt. If it is unsafe then people have to make their own judgments. If those decisions are bad then they may not be around to make more of them.
