Actually, I’ve had two Garmin Venture HC do the same thing. One was less than a month old, the other less than 90 days. Garmin customer service replaced both of them with new units but it was aggravating having to deal with it. In fact both times I was out of town on a caching trip (pretty much ruined the trip!).
I’m on my third one now. My trust in the reliability of the unit is still not where it needs to be. I am convinced there is a problem with the units. This has all happened since March of this year.
