  1. I second that, a small 1/8 inch diameter can hold up to 5 pounds. They come in many sizes for 30 to 80 cents each. There's a few cache suppliers out there that buy them at Lee Valley and resell for much more.
  2. It does seem a bit extreme to hide only micros in a nice wooded area. Personally I've got 12 hides and have covered all the bases. Nano's, micro's, smalls, mediums and larges in a variety of areas and abilities, from urban park and caches accessible to strollers and wheelchairs to 2 hour hikes up steep terrain in the woods. A good variety is always preferred. You don't want to get a reputation as a town of micro's. But a challenging nano in the woods can be a brain buster that makes you go arrrrgggggghhhhhh. It's no fun if you always find em, it's what makes finding em exciting. There's a micro close to work I've visited on break 4 times now without making the find. I hate micro's in rocks, but it just wouldn't be the same without em.
  3. Who cares? Answer: only you. So for your own stats you can add it as an FTF. FTF is not recognized by the site. Why is it that people try to turn a perfectly fun activity like geocaching into a contest? If you want to do a contest, go become a marathon runner or something and leave the rest of us alone. To the 1st replier thanks I was thinking about doing a stats page by logicweave ( cache stats ) and didn't know it worked that way. I assumed it took that info for FTF like it takes the other info, from a pocket query..... To the 2nd replier.... Calm down bud, I just had 7 caches published recently and had 40 visits in less than 24 hours by people trying to get FTF . Everyone plays the game their own way, just like we live life. Some rush through while others take their time and some talk before they think..... I wish you all the best in this great sport of ours, I was just asking a valid question I didn't have an answer too, not starting a fight. While on the subject any thoughts on the best stats page publisher?

  5. Not a huge deal, but when you race out of the house before work to get a FTF and when you get home the 2nd to find has logged it first. It's a little disheartening if you're keeping a stats page. Perhaps someone higher up could make an option on the first log for the FTF. That way it's not quickest to log but honest cachers can rightly not claim the FTF.
  6. I think it would be easier to hide caches and save the publishers time if on the cache map page, you could pick a spot and get the exact coords and how far that point is from an allready hidden cache. This way we can plan our hides at home on the computer and know that if we go that a way our caches will get approved instead of punching in waypoints and doind it in the field. Just another tool I think would save everyone some heartache. Can't take too much effort to program that into the website.
  7. I read that this is possible for both owners of a cache where a coin has been muggled and that a coin owner can do this as well. Unfortunately I could not find out how to do this. I don't have the coins number because i didn't write it down.
