Thank you everyone for your excellent input! Bear and Ragged, I think your TNLN policy will be good for the beginning - I certainly don't want to shortchange anyone! But I also love the idea of 'signature' items - I do a lot of crafting, so (for the larger caches, anyway!) that could be fun! Thank you all so much!!!

Hello everyone! It's great to meet so many folks interested in this wonderful idea!!! I was wondering if I could ask a quick question. What should I leave behind in caches that I find? I'm thinking about getting PathTags or GeoCoins, but I wasn't sure if that was the proper practice, or if I should leave something else. Any input would be great! Sorry about the silly question, but I really appreciate your time!

Wow - I'm totally new to geocaching, and I had no idea there was such a variety of things to find! I'll be honest - my introduction to this pasttime came through Law & Order CI (Goren rocks!), and I assumed all caches were the size of a tupperware container. This will certainly be more of a fun challenge than I thought!!!
