  1. I just checked my truck and there is a DC cable in my cigarette lighter. Might it be the one you're missing?
  2. Mr. Dements, 9 views and your helpful reply. Pretty darn quick. I will give that a try. The reason why I mentioned folders (same as symbols but only with a name) is because everything computer is 'folders' and it just sort of rolls off my tongue. Thanks again.
  3. I've got a bazillion waypoints and it's getting to be a PITA to have to scroll through them. Yes, I know about entering the words but I'm wondering (and hoping) that there is a folder option. I use autorouting for work related trips and a dedicated folder would be fantastic. The same could be used for restaurants. Trailheads and points along the way could also benefit from the folder option. If it isn't presently available perhaps in an upgrade, no?
  4. Thanks for the quick replies. When stuff like this happens you're first thought is that something is wrong but thanks for putting my mind at ease.
  5. I have ver. 3.3 software and I was trying to enter a waypoint title using the little built in keyboard that pops up. The title has a '&' in it but when I select and press the key nothing happens. There is no display of the symbol and the cursor does not move to the next letter space as though I made an entry. It simply sits there. "Keys" in the surrounding area work just fine. Me or a software glitch?
  6. I know the area extremely well. The story that Mrs. Kravitz (from Betwitched) was walking her dog along the greenbelt and saw the ammo can makes no sense. No sense at all if you've driven past that exact greenbelt the million or so times I have. Walking your dog anywhere in the greenbelt would not have revealed the cache and the cache was not in the open. You only would have discovered the cache if you saw people in the brush on a relatively hidden and very small dirt path, went there yourself and squatted down to look for it. What makes it even more suspicious is that she surveilled the area for 3 days before calling Tustin PD just doesn't add up either. If anyone has been to the cache or lives in the area the much more likely scenario is that one of the home owners looked out her second story window down at the cache and the cachers. The dog story, IMO, was simply a cover. That said, placing an ammo box in an urban area, no matter how well disguised or intentioned is not very smart and it causes problems such as this. I'm sure that the the cache owner picked the ammo can because it is durable as all get out but that can't be the only consideration when choosing your container.
  7. Pipanella, We tadpoles need to stick together. Pollywogs we're not - we are tadpoles!
  8. Well at least I'm causing humor and consternation on another continent!
  9. LizCodd, OK, the Knob is here! Is this going to be one of those dry whit British things? I spent a summer studying at Trinity College in Cambridge and to this day I'm still scratching my head. Fried slice? No ice in soda? Curry here and curry there. I have relatives named 'Curry" and I don't like them anymore! Power to the colonists although I like the cigar department in Harrod's. Or did I say something nasty? Bonnet is a hood, lift is an elevator, holiday is a vacation and a knob is a ........ While I love your little island I still believe that gin is probably your greatest contribution to the world and to my drinking!
  10. Hmm. I've got to be careful in how I answer. Knob as in partially smooth dome-aka solar panel in progress.
  11. I've been lurking from my cave but I've finally come out, registered, purchased a 60C, updated the software, entered 2 caches and hopefully I'll bag my first cache later this afternoon after meeting with the accountant to pay taxes. I really appreciate the depth of knowledge that the members have and I particularly like the Zip Code cache searcher. Entering the coordinates, even with my enthusiasm, is already tiring and I know that I'll be downloading other coordinates shortly. Am I being a complainer to soon or have I already elevated my game? I hope to learn quite a bit more and in the near future I'll be a 'geo daddy' by giving birth to my first cache.
