  1. I am sorry i did not understand the above - and whether or not it helps my query does no one have an answer for this or is there no answer I have seen many profiles where there are stats for the owners caches which is why I am confused about there being no response many thanks
  2. I have moved on many TBs some with goals others without - i am not always in a position to assist with the goal so i move it on anyway - I firmly beleive in allowing TBs to keep moving - if they have a goal they will eventually get there - i will even pick up TBs in my own caches and move them on if they look like they are growing roots I had one TB which i gave a very specific goal / cache to get to in new zealand - it took a little under 3 years to get there with a lot of travelling in germany and holland - but it did eventually reach its target cache in NZ and the required photo with an old friend was completed - i have another TB in US stil working its way round to the state that is its target but is taking forever - however its moving so what the heck - its fun watching where it goes anyway
  3. or even KENT says a cacher from West Kent just outside the M25 :-)
  4. can anyone tell me a simple way - or if not a relatively simple way of finding out how to obtain finder stats on your own caches such as the ones you see in profiles where it tells you who has found the most of your own caches etc. I do use cachestats for some bits of information but that does not come with it - or am I missing something many thanks
  5. I tried that using earthcache.com coding but the image did not come out right - but will try an alternative as you suggest
  6. Ddoes anyone know how you can get an earthcache masters icon on your profile page - is there an HTML coding that someone uses to get the icon on I just got my bronze pin wanna show it off on my profile page
  7. Yes Google earth will do it - I often confirm co-ords using this - it is a slightly different format - but nothing a calculator wont solve (take the last four digits - 35.78 for example and divide by 60 = 0.59633333 or .596 which will be your last three digits in usual format) to be done for both northings and eastings/westings
  8. I am sure I read something about this subject but cant find the logs - however, what is the longest known time between two 'finds' on any cache ? - I attended and found a puzzle cache in Richmond yesterday (8th July) called 'Blue (was red) door to Noah's BBQ' (GCMF6N) which had not been found since March 9th 2008 - that is 486 days between to logged finds (16 months) - I wasnt aware of the timing until I logged it later. is this a record or am I way out ??
  9. Thanks to all for your input I have taken some of the ideas given and I am sure the list will grow as I find other series For the time being I have 17 out there now These are Mole’s SOS – Ponds, Dewponds and Lakes of Kent #1 - Hildenborough Mole’s SOS – Red Phone box #12 Mole’s SOS – Church Micro #757 St. Stephens, Tonbridge Mole’s SOS – Off your trolley – Tonbridge Mole’s SOS – Hospitalised #7 Tonbridge Cottage hospital Mole’s SOS – Drinking Fountains and Troughs #22 Mole’s SOS – Hill view #7 – Bidborough Ridge Mole’s SOS – Motorway Mayhem – M25 J5 Mole’s SOS – Symmetry N51 DD1 Mole’s SOS – Mill Micro – Tonbridge Mill Mole’s SOS – Sidetracked - Hildenborough Mole’s SOS – Little Bridges #26 Mole’s SOS – Lest We Forget Mole’s SOS – Scout and About – Tonbridge 14th Sea Scouts Mole’s SOS – Kent lost pubs No 9 – The Artichoke Mole’s SOS – A Road Anarchy – A21 ? Mole’s SOS – Coal Post #188
  10. Can you give me an example of one of these - I cant fnd any using 'b road booty' as search words
  11. I have looked into that one already, the nearest one to my area would be #188 - unfotunately that has been taken along with the few others either side of it - anything beyond that is too far away but thanks
  12. Thanks i have most of those except A road Anarchy - will research that one i am not including cachers own mini series - it would never end other wise i am looking more for the well established ones like those as you have mentioned and ones where there is a request to contact 'cacher' with object, place etc. in order to expand their series
  13. Hi I am in the process of enlarging a series that i am doing which highlights the various 'series' that are out there such as the large 'church micro' series in the South, and the not so well know 'red phone box' series The idea of my series is to continue the theme of each of the series in their own right but to highlight and champion the originators - i am doing only one of each series included in mine I have a dozen or so to date (all start with Mole's SOS ..........if you want to take a look via my profile) and i am looking for more series to add to the list please let me know of any others that can be added and i will see if there is an object of that theme in my area many thanks
  14. I managed to comlpete the northern ring yesterday - had planned the whole lot over two days but an untimely trip and fall resulted in an injury that meant I could only complete that ring - so now i hope these wont be archived so I can complete the rest sometime in the future If not to be archived at least adopted
  15. Also... I noted one of my Tb's was taken by a cacher who is still active though not very active - it didnt get logged out of the cache (online) that he visited even though he signed the physical log (which is how i knew who had it) and despite writing to him several times and even getting one reply to say he had it - it has never resurfaced - that was 4 years ago The irony of it was I also noted he had several TBs which he eventually took back himself placing them in a virtual TB retirement home - in order to keep them safe and not lost in the wild - you would have thought he would have done the same for a TB belonging to someone else ah well
  16. But i cant wait to become a fully trade Jedi like the rest of you!! How many caches do you have to have found before you become one of them ???
  17. I had a TB make its way over to the US heading for its target cache in IOWA and then it disappeared - a year later it resurfaced in a cache only a few miles away from where it had gone. Then 2 months later it dropped out again and a further year later re-appeared miles away - I was gobsmakced it did it a second time - still got quite way to go before it reaches its destination so I am expecting it to disappear again any time soon LOL
  18. I did get an email about this too - but found out today I am scheduled to work that day - dare I say turning down double time overtime is not something I do often good luck with the day Tim
  19. If your "series of caches" are all individual trads which can be logged separately, then when you have collected the numbers from them all you can use these numbers to work out the co-ordinates of the Bonus cache I would say that the Bonus cache should be a mystery/? cache. On the other hand, if your cache page takes you to a starting point, then takes you through a series of stages where you gather some number from each cache along the route but all the information for the route appears on that one cache page then I would set that as a Multi cache. Does that make sense?* That's my take on it anyway! MrsB *... and if it doesn't, then drop an email to your friendly local reviewer to see what he/she thinks This is why I posted the question - my take on it would be - the bonus co-ords obtained through the culmination of numbers gathered at a series of previous caches would be a puzzle cache and not multi as it is a singular cache relying on mathmatical (in most cases) workings out using numbers obtained - and a multi is a cache on its own but with the gathering of clues during that one cache hunt. However I have seen examples of both principles being either multis or puzzles
  20. Just a quickie Is the final bonus cache (which is found once you have found a series of caches and collected numbers or similar to then work out the co-ords for a bonus) a puzzle cache or a multi cache - or both and what would be examples of either if it is both []
  21. Is it rude to point out that GROup for Environmental Protection would be GROEP, not GROPE...!?! If any of the caches that I own that have been placed with specific permission get removed by anyone claiming to be doing it for the enviroment will be causing criminal damage in the least though more fittingly Theft - I would like to think that if this happened Groundspeak should be able to assist in identifying these people through their membership - or am I being completely unrealistic
  22. Yea to me 2000th find achieved on 24/1/09 when finding MUG21 (Mugswell Meander) by the PP's
  23. I have just done tha above and why didn't I use this before - so much easier than copying and pasting The only thing missing is the grid reference, am i missing something or is that not available
  24. Thank you, does this also print out the clues too, or will I have to do all that 'by hand'?
