  1. On the geocaching site when I click the button 'log geocache' I get a black page that seems to be linked somehow to the png file for the button. Any ideas how to enable the logging mechanism/link again....
  2. Hi thanks for your reply - I had been there before and done that -but went back to go through the process again - No Joy. I've still got the Venice map on log in.
  3. Hi when I log into geocaching.com I get the map of Venice that I was exploring for caches prior to going on holiday. I'm back now and would like my home area to be the default map. We've been back for 2 months - just can't seem to get it to budge. Can anyone tell me how to change it? Thanks
  4. I'm new to geocaching and I'm using a Satmap. Love it! Yes its expensive and if you want the OS 1:50k maps you have to pay extra. (It comes with a basic road map). I bought the whole of UK OS maps and it makes a very nice bit of kit. Keep your eye on ebay sales... Even if you don't buy the OS maps the road map is there, and zooming in you get a blank screen with the POI and your location in relation to it just as I did with my Garmin etex. But its a more robust with more features. I wouldn't want a satmap without the OS maps because that is what I wanted use as my base map with my gps. Paperless caching with the recent upgrade, largish screen, solid, waterproof and good in the sunlight. Takes a while to acquire the GPS signal but then very effective at maintaining it under leaf cover. Online route creation using OS maps to download to your Satmap (free at the moment). I wish I'd invested in the power pack (£40.00+) instead of rechargeable AA batteries. Of course geocaching.com integrates better with a garmin - don't have to fiddle with downloading GPX files via the satmap sych software if you buy a garmin. Look at others' reviews in geocaching.com for satmap and garmins. Find the videos on youtube for different models.
