Thanks IBcrashen, for your response too! I'm quickly realizing that I didn't need such a large memory card! Maybe there is some random icon that will show me that it's a cache without messing up the functionality of the GPS telling me what are true POI. This assumes I ever use my GPS for anything besides caching, which hasn't happened yet! Thanks again and happy caching!

I seem to fit between 500-1000. I didn't know if there was a way I could use the massive amounts of storage I have left it my memory card. I'll poke around for the Garmin POI installer, though I do like seeing all the little treasure chests waiting for me! Thanks for the reply!

I own a garmin Etrex Legend Cx. I am trying to save multiple waypoints for different trips I am planning on taking this summer and also just to have available for different parts of my immediate area (we seem to have lots of caches!) However, the GPS keeps giving me the "waypoint memory full" screen. While it wouldn't be the end of the world to delete and resend different sets, I was wondering if there was a way to send additional waypoints to say the memory card itself, since I recently upgraded that component. Any advice from more experienced cachers would be greatly appreciated with a special to the FTH! Logan

In case anyone comes across this with a similar problem, I was able to get my GPS working again with a new memory card! Hopefully no one else has this issue!

I own an Etrex Legend GPS. It has worked without issue until today. When I was downloading a new map onto the memory card the GPS shut down. I switched batteries, USB ports, everything and I could only get it to load, beep, and then watch the screen fade to darkness again. Finally, I discovered that if I pulled out the memory card that the device would turn on fine. However, immediately upon inserting the memory card again, the GPS would again shut down and return to it's previous lack of uselessness. I have updated the machine through the garmin website, but don't really have any other ideas. Am I left only to get a new memory card and hope for the best? If anyone has any ideas or information that might prove useful, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Logan

I have the Garmin Etrx Legend CX connected to the PC via usb cable. I use the little button on the right of a cache to "send to GPS". Thanks for any help!

So I know how to make a pocket query and have sent all the data files to my palm pilot (the CT guide was awesome!). However, is it possible to actually send all the coordinates to the GPS at once or do I have to click them all individually? Thanks for helping a noob!

Geocoins and travel bugs aren't trade items. You don't need to leave anything when you take one of them, assuming they are activated. Of course, a pebble doesn't sound like a fair trade for a badge and whose idea was it to put a knife in a cache? Thanks for writing that! After reading the other post I was worried that I hadn't been following the spirit of the rules by simply moving along TBs!
