  1. I'll check with Mike tomorrow and post details. - Neil.
  2. Spoke to Mike this morning. Am taking him caching on Tuesday. Now to do a quick search of those near his home. - Neil.
  3. Just checked the stats site to and that seems fine. Can people be more specific on what their problems are. Alos it's worth bringing the subject up in the relevant GeocacheUK forums, as it's more likely to be seen by the admins there. - Neil.
  4. Just done a trigpoint search, results can be found here. So all looks okay from here. - Neil.
  5. Well done Neil! Shame The Hornet slows you down so much :-) - Neil.
  6. I'm sure any let in the Cambridge area will get dispersed pretty quickly :-) - Neil.
  7. I'm a freelance IT consultant and photographer. Nat was a programmer until she retired on medical grounds. She's currently retraining as a proofreader / copyeditor. - Neil.
  8. Okay, I'm calling the guy from the paper on Monday. I'll let everone know how we get on. Anyone want to recommend caches we should visit? - Neil.
  9. That'll be your browser barfing the cookie. I would suggest reseting your browser settings. As there are a number of posts dated today, so I suspect it's local to your setup. - Neil.
  10. If no one else can do this, I'll happily make the trip. I can call him on Monday to sort it out. - Neil.
  11. Just checked and the GUK forums are fine for me. You might want to try again. - Neil.
  12. Yep, we do sem to have two threads active on this subject at the moment :-) I suspect things are in a state of flux right now and that the service may only be available sparodically at the mo. Probably best to wait until The Cat/Teasel announce that things are completely back to normal with the stats/trigpointing server. Once it's back up, then we can start to debug any remaing problems better. - Neil.
  13. And replying to my own post, it now appears progress has been made. I'd track that thread for further developments. - Neil.
  14. Taking this slightly off topic, but.... that new card looks great Joan. I just love the graphic. :-) - Neil.
  15. See threads elsewhere, but one of the GUK servers is down and it's that one that services this service. - Neil.
  16. Please see this thread on the GeocacheUK forums for details of the current situation. The server providing the service is currently down :-( The sys admins are working on it, but as they provide it all for free, we really have to give them as much time as it takes. The thread detailing progress is here. - Neil.
  17. I'm hoping to hook up with MonkeyBrad whist he's over. If we can get it into a cache somewhere south of Birmingham, I'll see what I can do. - Neil.
  18. Taken from the log: spottyspaniels posted a note for Southampton Travel Bug Hotel (Traditional Cache) Well cachers, the location has changed. The original Hotel disappeared for a while, then eventually reappeared minus one travel bug. (Spooky, a bit like the Bermuda triangle). Hopefully it will attract those intending to travel from (or to) Southampton Airport. It should also be far less likely than the original, to be observed by passing “muggles”. Unfortunately it isn’t as close to the Airport as the original location, but you can’t have everything. Happy Caching ! - Neil.
  19. My pleasure. Now where do I send the invoice? ;-) - Neil.
  20. According to Spottyspaniels it has reappeard along with some bugs, who we believe are in some need of some stress counseling :-) Hopefully more detailed news soon. - Neil.
  21. Check the settings for the software, even though you are using the USB port it may well still be monitoring the serial ports. Which PDA is it? And what version of Windows? - Neil.
  22. Word is Southampton Hotel has re-appeared! :-) I believe it's going to be found a slightly less exposed location. But lets still work on solutions to securing TB Hotels in future. - Neil.
  23. As Mr Stead says, a quick reboot should be the first port of call. If that doesn't work, then you may have a hardware problem. - Neil.
  24. From a quick look at the programme listings, I don't recognise any shows with the exception of one that get's aired on Discover Home and Leisure. A quick search of their site didn't turn up anything. - Neil.
  25. I wonder what you are supposed to do if nobody is home? Sit, chill and wait for the owner to come home? Something tells me you aren't going to be doing this as part of a cache dash :-) - Neil (or should that be hubby? :-) )
