I'm fairly new at location benchmarks. I've looked around and found some information but am still not sure about what these are.
I was looking for benchmark JU2993.
I found this:
which apparently is a reference mark for the Batsto benchmark.
As far as I can tell, this doesn't have its own PID number.
From what I have read, a reference mark is a mark that is a specific distance from the actual station (in this case about 50 feet) and used to locate or reset the actual station.
Is this correct? And does the arrow indicate the direction of the station?
There is (or was) an azimuth mark also. What additional information does an azimuth mark provide that is dirrenent that the reference mark?
Thanks for your help.
