  1. Thanks. That was just what I needed.
  2. How can I be notified when a new cache has been placed in a certain area (zip code w/ radius, etc)? Automatic e-mail? How do cachers know to go look for cache so that they might be first to cache?
  3. Yes, create a pocket query, very easy to do. And use that file and you can open it on either GSAK or EasyGPS (I use these two, there are probaly others). EasyGPS is a free easy quick download and is worth your time while GSAK is a lot more in-depth and involved but takes more time to use. By the way, I was born in Buffalo! Just thought I'd throw that out there! haha. You don't have to use GSAK or EasyGPS. Just unzip the pocket queries and put them in the garmin/gpx folder on either the SD card or the unit itself. I usually have 5 pocket queries with 1000 geocaches each loaded on mine at any given time for a total of 5,000!. Thanks. That is easier than what I have done in the past. But why do I sometimes get the logs and sometimes I don't. I have a Garmin 400t.

  5. Is there a way to organize the geocaches on the Oregon 400t? Can you put certain ones in different folders? Another words can I see a group of caches in a way other than simply listed by increasing distance from current location? Can I download a group of caches to the gps so that they are stored in a folder? So that I can then look up that folder and the geocaches that are in it.
  6. Newbie. How do I transfer a multiple geocahes from geocaching.com to Garmin Oregon 400t all at once and get the description, hints and logs? don't want to do one at a time. I have tried a couple of ways and I seem to only be getting the coordinates and geocahe name when doing all at once. Must be doing something wrong. Seem to get everything when I do one at a time.
  7. New to this. This past weekend used Garmin Oregon 400t to find 16 caches. Logged as found on the gps. How do I transfer those found caches from my Oregon 400t to my geocaching.com account?
