  1. "Given that these trails tend to attract "numbers runs", perhaps we should call them "numbers trails" or "numbers run trails"... Here is power trail path 2 hours north of Vegas ET highway. It is not uncommon for people to 600 in a day and complete the 1100 over 2 days.
  2. Well I found the way in utilties, you first see your unlocked maps. Then click on manage products then unlock regions then put in your codes the maps should be unlocked
  3. I have the codes for my maps but I can''t find the unlockwizard in mapsource and I would rather not use the online process. Any suggestions. i have 6ocsx I used the garmin updater, I loaded a new version of mapinstall and mapsource, thanks
  4. I'm heading to Bali and I would like to get a map of Bali for my garmin 60csx. I found Rotweiler Maps at http://rotweilermaps.com/maps.cfm. Rotweiler's Bali Indonesia Routable Version 3.60. This map covers the entire Island of Bali, Indonesia. It provides full and accurate routing of the entire island. Has anyone used these maps? Any other suggestions?
  5. I was able to get a gpx file to(onto) my dell axim PDA but when I opened the file in cachemate- the information was not sorted in any way- It was more like a text file. It seems that I need to get a "sync" program and get the file from my mac to the sync program which might then allow an upload to cachemate. 1-So is this true? or does it make sense 2- which sync program do people use?
  6. I'm leaving on a trip and I'm planning on bringing a mac book. I've used and installed MacCaching- which works great at transfering pocket queries to the mac to my garmin60 gps. Now, I'd like to transfer the pocket queries to my pda which would give me access to the logs. MacCaching exports a file that should be usable for cachemate on my PDA. When I transfer the file-without "activesync"(only for a pc) the file loads as a text document. With my dell pc- the files upload via activesync to my dell axim and cachemate works perfectly. So the questions is- what can I use to "sync" my exported files from MacCaching to my dell that is running cachemate. I found a program SyncMate by Eltima . The free version doesn't give me access to files and the expert version costs $40. I was wondering if there are other choices.
  7. Well this one isn't enabled yet but http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc...165898_2553.jpg
  8. This is from Magellan: MapSend Topo USA, version 1.00 This new software version has an updated and expanded points-of-interest database, and a 3D map display mode on your PC. This will owrk great for you Magellan. Magellan MapSend Topo 3D USA sets a new standard in topo map software for your Magellan Meridian Color, Meridian Gold, Meridian Platinum, Meridian Marine, SporTrak Color, SporTrak Pro or SporTrak Pro Marine and eXplorist 210, 400, 500, 600 or XL handheld receiver. I replaced my Magellan 500 with Garmin 60CSX and no longer need the software. I'd like to get $40 (OBO) for the software plus shipping about $4.95 by priority mail.
  9. I have a Magellan Li ion battery with the related USB conection to connect your computer to the Magellan and or recharge your battery. see: http://www.magellangps.com/products/access...model_list=1273 The battery is about 4 months old and works great. It lists for $49 at magellan. I'd be happy to get $25 plus shipping about $4.95 if you want priority mail. I can send pictures if you want.
  10. I have a brand new Triton 400- Brand new and in the original box. I had a warrenty issue with my explorist and they sent me a new 400. I'd like $150 plus shipping for the Triton 400. You can use paypal or send a check. Full-color navigation that's amazingly easy! SD-card compatibility enables you to add unlimited optional maps, tracks, waypoints, routes, geocaches and other user generated content. Rugged and waterproof (IPX-7) to withstand accidental impact and submersion, it's ready for any adventure. Shipping should be about $4.95 if you want priority mail
  11. well- it looks like magellan is going to exchange my explorist 500 for a triton. I still have the bike mount for the 500 available-$15.00
  12. Man, yesterday the same model gps was sold for $160 and I've offered soem extra goodies- Hm! [
  13. Explorist 500, with 1 gb kingston data card for sale along with its mapping software (map send topo 3d USA=$40). The GPS comes with a bike mount (retail/ebay=$18), a NIMH recharable battery and charger (retail/ebay=$15) ; cables for USB downloads (retail/ebay=$12), a suction cup car mount (not an exact fit-needs a rubber band to hold it in place). see http://www.maps-gps-info.com/gp-rvw-mag-xplr500.html or http://gpsinformation.net/waas/Mag3-D/eXplorist.html for a detailed review of the GPS. Note the joystick rubber cover has been torn and repaired. I have other photos of the GPS which I can send to you. The GPS (purchased in Janury 08) and all of the accessories would sell for over $200 on ebay . I'd like $180 I will take a payment by check or paypal. You will need to pay the actual cost of shipping and I'd suggest insurance. Expect shipping and insurance to be less than $8.00. I can send a number of images if you like or see http://www.gonil.org/SMF/index.php/topic,3007.0.html for a n image. best
  14. GSAk is a must- GSAK will allow you to upload your Pocket Queries and then organize them and download to your GPS. I'd also suggest getting a palm and buying cachemate for the palm. Cachemate will keep a all your cache information including logs, hints and more. It also can keep track of your finds and DNF- gives you a place to take notes- takes downloads from GSAK- go paperless.
  15. java script:emoticon('', 'smid_4') I just had a nice long and useful chat with Garmin and their are 2 solutions- 1 elegant and 1 okay. The non-elegant solution- At the find geocache page- use the thumb button to scroll up to the icon and hit "enter". Then you can manually change the icon. The better way: At main menu- click on set up- system- routing- make sure guidance method is set to "prompted". Then when you go "find" geocache- "goto", you will get prompted for "follow road" or "off road". Off road will give you a compass with found/note/stop options. When you click -found- you then get a new screen with a place for a note and a list of nearest caches and your find will be logged in the calender.
  16. You also might want to check your "software" that holds the cache info. It might have a box that limits the cache download- GSAK has this and you need to clear the box to download all of your caches.
  17. I just got a 60Csx. I figured out how to load in my caches. But once you find a cache- how do you mark it as found? or DNF? I seem to get a bunch of items in my recent finds file/list but they were things I may have looked at but not searched and found. thanks
  18. I was wondering if you are including the mapping software? Also, do you have the download cables? Does the Gps use rechargeable batteries?
  19. I see now. You first create the new name and then from each cache page you can add names to your list and if you have more than 1 list, you get a pull down menu.
  20. I was wondering how to make a new bookmark list. I was only able to reedit a old bookmark list. When I reedited the old list and renamed it, I was able to delete the old caches and add in my new ones and thus create a new list. This new list now has the very important "add bookmark" button. But when I go to the manage bookmark page, I can create a bookmark-edit the words but I can't add geocaches to make a list. The "add bookmark" button is missing. Thanks in advance
  21. So, I added the 0 to the beginning, and the 1 to the end, so the number matched the tags inside, and on the box. You might try registering without the 1 and 0. I've found that dropping the first and last # seems to help but....
  22. I was wondering if you knew how many waypoints/file you can load in the 500. I have an explorist 210 and the limit is 200 waypoints/ file.
