The All New All New Groundspeak UK Pub Quiz
Wadders replied to Simply Paul's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
MMmmm sure i went to the graveyard to do a cache there, just got to search the grey matter....... -
Is there a "size" restriction? MrsB You mean "you need to be at least as tall as this line to attempt these caches" or were you just being rude? Stick with me, MrsB, it will work out on averages!! Moi? Being rude? Not at all... It's just that TDW's post implied it could be an "either/or" situation. MrsB It was an either/or on the last one for me EITHER I exhale every last breath out of me and get pushed through that gap OR i dont get to finish the series............................I got through

Calling Lake District cachers/owners
Wadders replied to MBFace's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Well I feel that I have a right to answer this, as I own a Lake District cache, I used to log all my finds religiously, but since December 2006 I have logged few with the exception of First to Finds. At present I have 1039 outstanding logs to write, ontop of the 793 logged, but a lot of them are not in the lakes, ooops add 21 to that as I did 21 with The Golem on Saturday. You need to do some serious logging Milton......you need to stay in more -
The only thing i think this post will do is wind people up, oh and Puh...leeese believe me i'm sure it will!!!

I know someone is proud of their DNF tally, But i wont mention their names in case they get upset, and i wouldnt want to do that to Sarah of The Morgan Mob I know that she always logs hers (there are so many too!!) I try and log my DNF'S, as i think it also gives the owner valuble information, although i do get cheesed off if they do nothing about several DNF's on their cache page. I get very frustrated if i am on the verge of a DNf and will try and make a point of going back to try a second time if needed. keep your chin up, there are better DNF'ers out there than you ( we had loads when we went to the USA, but didnt log them all, far toooooo many ) Wadders

I have to say that when I started, it was nice to get a new icon from the coins that were available at the time, as there were not that many around Now there are so many and the icons have moved from your front page I find myself not too bothered I will still help TB's on their way if they have specific aims. I also like to see some of the designs of the coins out there, but I can't say I would list all the TB's and coins at an event just to discover them. But as has been said before, each to their own, we all play the game the way we want Wadders

Just heard from Jim, AKA the Woodbury Walker that whilst out doing some of my caches near Meldon Dam on Dartmoor, Jill (wife and "The Assistant") fell whilst imbetween caches and has broken her leg just above the ankle. A rescue mission by the air ambulance coordinated from RAF Culdrose had to be implemented but could not get near them, so she had to be strechered down the gully to where the Air Ambulance could reach her. I am sure you will all join me in wishing her a speedy recovery, i know how much she enjoys the outdoors and her caching. I am so sorry it was on one of my caches too best wishes and a speedy recovery Jill. Terry

:D Each time we get a problem, we upgrade or get a new script to run, there are some of those people in the background always willing to help you out with the technical stuff. Tonight I have had help from "Edgemaster" and "Stuey" (again) and in the past "Moote" and some others to name but a few. A public big "THANKYOU" whoever you are, if you helped anyone out in the past, I, for one appreciate your support, you all make this sport a little more friendly.

Just bought the p550, and run MM with cachemate and cachenav. dont think cachenav is worth having as i also use a 60 csx and the goto on MM is just as good in MHO.
