  1. Id like to get some opinions on logging FTFs. Im sure avery local area has em, but we have a lot of FTF hounds here in Central Florida (Well, North West of Orlando to be specific, yall know who you are) When I get a FTF, I dont log it immediatly after I get home. I wait a few hours, ok maybe 6 : ) before I log. I do this for two reasons, The 1st is a courtesy to the Co, to get people to go to the cache. The 2nd is I like to think of the looks on the faces of Second to Find when he/she (with great excitment and anticipation) unwraps that log and sees my name at the top. : ( : ( : ( I know what my face must look like when Im STF : ( : ( : ( Is that wrong????
  2. I think he relisted the bugs again, but stated he just wanted .01 for them and for them to be placed back into circulation. I wrote to him apologizing for the badly placed cache, and asked to obtain / pick up the bugs at his convenience, as I live nearby in Clermont, Fl. When I sent the message, ebay informed me the item was no longer available. I hope he got my message and would like me to come collect them. Moparots / Craig
  3. The container in the center looks like an ODS cache....(Painted Folgers container) And how respectful of the photographer was it to place all of the items on a grave marker as a backdrop for the photograph? My thoughts exactly! Slanted journalism.
  4. I can barely find the **** things in the blazing daylight. : )
  5. OUCH! I think you might have described me.... at least thats what my wife says.
  6. Saturday, the family and I will be flying to NYC and I will hopefully find MY first out of state cache, somewhere in Manhatten. I think I will try the Empire State bldg Virtual. We will stay a few days and drive up to the Cape Code area, and I will find a few in each state Mass. and R.I. I think it will be fun...... Any of you fine Yankee cacheing brethren have any suggestions?
  7. I think people use the "lol" and smiley faces : ), just to show that their comments are in good spirit. Posting on the internet is very non human, because you cannot hear voice tones or see facial expressions. Sometimes well intentioned posts can appear mean spirited. LOL : )
  8. You're asking us to tell you what to use and not telling us the size or anything else. You should be telling us what kind/size of container you want and then asking where to find them. Ammo cans you get one place, bison tubes another. Oh I didn't have any size in particular in mind, I'll mostly be using large/regular/small/micro sizes though. Well, that narrows it down
  9. Garmin Nuvi paperless, Heres a good site to get started http://pilotsnipes.googlepages.com/index.html I havent figuered it out yet though....: ( of course, I'm computer illiterate.
  10. Everyone knows that would be a bad thing to do....... .........You should take ME instead just kidn... have fun in "Hellas"
  11. There is a hide (hyde) about 25 miles from me GC1HYDE. I thought the hide/hyde coincedence was cool, but Hyde is also my last name. No I havent gotten over there to find it yet, but I will.
  12. I just cleared out (find everything) my "closest" page to about 10 or 15 miles, then keep checking that. I know, I know its alot of work, and not much fun, but its got to be done.
  13. What do the logs say? tftc took ammo box left lock n lock. Now THATS funny!
  14. If we want a truly orginal word I supposed we could all take turns making posts by just banging on the keyboard. Something will eventlully pop out that catches our collective eye. eiaov oapoeoarweasr;omsvd;omsgdoj aoieur1q4v8mvqmp9[spossvpofsd gpoiurve awpoiewrqqe- q 89yqrtg Anything stand out? Weasr es or sposs es
  15. Well the original meaning of the word "cache" meant, a container for hiding weapons or provisions. Cant hide much of that in a micro. Food for thought.
  16. Drove down the road to the next cache with my brand new Garmin vista on my truck tool box. I just got out and then just used it for the next find, I was lucky it didnt fall off. I think I'll just put a lil velcro on the box and keep the GPS there all the time. : )
  17. Thats pretty much how I do it. Just write each one down in the order/when you find them.
  18. I like Greek food, so I usually pack Musaka (eggplant cassarole) Dolmathos (meat and rice wrapped in grapeleaves) souflaki (lamb chunks on a pita bread with szaziki (yogert garlic cuccumber sauce)) Greek salada, and a nice Hieniken. If its going to be along day, and I need the energy, I'll pack some pasticio (pasta with ground meat in a white alfredo sauce) But thats just me.... : )
  19. Thats cool, I went to those Rocky Horror Pic Shows a few times, at the old "Interstate mall" In Altamonte Springs. Back in the 80s My Name is from Mopar (old muscle cars from the late 60s early 70s, made by Chrysler) and OTS my flooring company "On the Surface". Ive shelved the muscle car hobby for a bit cheaper one, geocacheing. Speed cost BIG $.
