I've been considering replacing my Magellan 2500T with this unit. How is it for accuracy Geocaching? My Nuvi 500 will put me right on target every time!

How accurate is the elevation number. I'm assuming as the waypoint accuracy improves so does the elevation.

I will be hiding my first cache sometime this spring. I live on a lake in the summer and plan to hide a cache on one of the islands. My questions are: 1. Do I need to tell people in the clues that they will need a boat? 2. What would I rate it? 3. One of the islands I am considering has an old 1700's graveyard on it. It's a neat place to visit, but have some reservations about putting a cache there. Thanks

I have the Nuvi 500. It has all the features of the 260 plus the ability to go to walking mode. Also has a geocashing feature that allows you to download information from the website. A lot of people will tell you you need two units, but this is not true, my Nuvi 500 will gets me there every time. Two units might be better, but not necessary. I like the fact of having one unit and just removing it from the windshield, switch to walking mode, and start looking for the cashe.
