  1. Hello fellow geocachers! I have had a garmin 60csx for a few years now and have always wondered how to delete all of your geocaches that you have added to the gps. Is there also a way to see how many you have uploaded and how much space you have left? I want to clear all the caches (especially the found ones) off of my gps! Thanks for your help in advance!
  2. Dollarama here in Canada you can get some decent ones for 1$!
  3. Also I uploaded a most recent gpx file to GSAK and I noticed that they still do not show the favorite points even though I changed the gpx version in my account details to v 1.0.1. why is it not showing the favorite points?
  4. Yes I go through the criteria and then I hit submit information at the bottom and then the file then goes to the pocket quarries page. I then am not sure how to run the pocket querrie. I don't want to pick a day I just want to run it now. Like when I go back to the pq page I can see the one I just created and titled, I can even select it but I don't see any "Run" button! You need to check the box for the day you want your PQ to run. Right now it is Tuesday where I am so I would check the Tuesday box to run my PQ now. What if it is Tuesday at 9 pm? do I still get it right away or would I have to wait tell next Tuesday? should I just play it safe and pick Wednesday?

  6. Hi I have been trying to figure out how to actually work the pocket quarry feature and I can never seem how to run a pocket quarry. It seems that there is a my finds pocket quarry that runs everytime I try to run the one I just made. I just made on for my home city and when you are done how do you run the quarry, I can select it the the only thing I can see is "add to queue" and every time I do that it says that the "my finds" pocket quarry is set to run, but I don't want that to run!!!!!! How do I get the one Is selected to run aaaaahhhhhhh this is so frustrating! From a customers point of view they can make it simpler to use. Any help would be appreciated!
  7. Im not talking about acorns and big seeds of those types im talking about squash seeds, carrot seeds, flowers etc... I would have a good airtight container that I would maintain often. I would make sure the cache is in good shape.
  8. hahahahahahahahaha! Ive been seeing lots of these types of photos on Facebook recently! This one is hilarious! The picture of "what my boss thinks I do", I actually do go metal detecting in the summer when I can! Also a really enjoyable hobby! did you make this one?
  9. Hello fellow geocachers! I have this good idea for a new cache. I was going to have it a gardening theme and I would stock the cache with an assortment of different kinds of plants, fruits vegetable seeds. But I was wondering where to buy liitle bags that you can put seeds in. The ideal size would be, if you've ever bought-en a TB then the size of bag it comes in. About a 1.1/2 inch tall and 3/4 inch wide. I would stock the cache with those bags of different seeds labeling them of course and people could trade with different seeds as-well! So my question is, do you know where to buy them? -Cheers
  10. I have one and absolutly love it, not that expensive for the quality of the camera and it is very durable with the case on! I recommend it!
  11. Hello Fellow geocachers! I just bought GSAK today and have been learning lots about this awesome piece of software! I have gone through most of the FAQ and features, and I would like to hear from users on these forums whats your favorite thing about GSAK/what cool features you go onto GSAK to perform that you cant on the geocaching website?. Would be cool to get a list going of different features that people find useful and fun that GSAK enables you to do! Ill start My favorite feature is being able to upload PQ's to an area that you want to go on your next geocaching trip and put the info on each cache that you want then upload it to your GPS! Real time saver when there are a few hundred to where your going! -Cheers
  12. I also found a cache today! It will be another 4 years until you can get the next one, unless you still go out today to find one! -Cheers
  13. At what point are you able to say that those coordinates are yours and no one else can place a cache near it and for how long, in other words once the reviewer says the location is ok is it then that you can hold onto that location and for how long? days, weeks, months? -Cheers
  14. Thanks for the response but also still not unclear on one thing, As soon as I was done filling out the form online I did do a note to a reviewer and was planning on waiting a few days for the reviewer to get back to me. Then I read this thread And went to enable the listing because I thought that he would not see my cache listing or reviewer note. So if I had not enabled the cache but left a reviewer note, would the reviewer have seen my cache? Please let me know -Cheers
  15. So Today I submitted a cache and It says it is a Unpublished Disabled Cache, I haven't actually put the cache in the location however I have done all the write up for the cache page I was just hoping to get the ok from the reviewer that the location is good and not to close to any nearby caches. I would then place the cache there and tell the reviewer to publish it. So are you saying that I have to enable the listing before he will even see it, meaning right now if I were to do nothing I would not get any kind of response back even in a week or two? I am afraid that if I enable the cache and the location is good he might just publish it without me putting the cache out. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! -Cheers
  16. If the logbook is a piece of paper full of about 50 or so signatures and no room for comments then Ill read through it then throw it away, however if the logbook is an actual small notebook with room to leave comments then I will probably keep it if there are some nice comments. I have been building my next geocache over the past week or so and bought a 2 dollar small notebook and would like to keep it once it is full seeing as the book is pretty nice! (hardcover) I don't have that many geocaches of my own but I have been planning some good ones for this spring/summer! -Cheers
  17. My computer is a lot more comfortable to pick caches on than my smartphone. Exactly, way quicker to upload/download caches onto your GPS using your computer rather then you cell phone!
  18. I use my computer the night before I go out to load the caches in the area that im going into my GPS. So I spend less time on my cellphone and electronics While im outside.
  19. a opened shower cap found in my most recent cache, who puts that in there???
  20. Thats really cool! Is it only the CO of the PMO cache that can see it or can anyone looking at the cache see the total number of people looking? Thanks for the quick response! -Cheers
  21. Hello fellow Geocachers, I was on the topic of geocaching yesterday and thought as a cache owner, it would be really cool to know how many different geocaching members actually look at your caches! It would be similar Idea to the gadget you see on some websites on how many visits that particular website gets. This one would be similar but only give one hit per geocaching name. I just thought it would be cool to see how many different geocachers have looked at my geocache and how many actually went out and got it! (could get some cool ratios) Of course it doesn't have to show the actual geocachers name just a number would be great. And the counter doesn't have to be big or take up lots of space, just a small counter in the bottom left or right of each geocache page. Also Have you ever wondered how many people ever look at your photos that you upload to certain geocaches? It would be cool to know how many people take the time to look at the photos you posted. Anyway just an Idea, let me know what you think! -Cheers
  22. Sounds really Interesting, Will take a look as people reply! Hopefully someone comes up with something!
  23. Hello there fellow cachers, I have a question that I was wanting to know for a long time. when I was a non premium member it advertised that you could upload cache stats right to your phone, as in it will tell you the difficulty and cache size and what not. Right now I am sending the cache coordinates to my gps via USB cable it came with then I manually type in the cache info myself. Thanks for the help in advance! -Cheers
  24. You actually spent 12 days in Jail! wow that must have been tough! that's crazy!
  25. OMG seriously, Ive never said once that I was scared to go outdoors or am I scared of anything that im aware of, just thought that it would be good for some invention of warning people of dangers that they may not be aware of. And "no hate" my a** a few of you are just hating in a different form, lengthy paragraphs without profanity. In my opinion that's worse. This Hobby is for me one of my favorite and I might just now avoid these forums to avoid people like you. And "haters" always try to get the last message in the thread proving what a smart a** they are. Next person will prove it! That 'next person' would be me. (my kids played this silliness until they were 5 or 6) The caches have attributes and descriptions. If you are expecting the Reviewers or your GPS or some other higher being to determine what is a 'dangerous situation' then we would need a detailed criteria of what you would consider to be dangeous. I mean detailed... how close to the road, how close to a rock, how many rattlesnakes per square mile in the desert. If you want them filtered, you setup your PQ to exclude caches with the 'dangerous area' is set. The controls are in place already. They may not be what and how you think they should be, but they are already in place. I realize that you can't tell people of how many rattle snakes per square inch and what not but I was thinking that if there are MORE ways out there that can make geocaching more safe then why not introduce them, simple as that. -Cheers
