  1. I don't understand these people. If you signed a logbook, you log a find. Right? No logbook, no find. I just spent an hour at "the right spot" trampling the woods trying to find the cache. I didn't. I wasn't happy about it either. But I wouldn't change the log to a find even if it did turn up to be missing later, because I DIDN'T FIND IT. Then after posting that I didn't find it, the cache owner e-mailed me a better clue, and I'm looking forward to my next trip to that park.
  2. As a newcomer to geocaching, I don't see why someone even considers logging a find that they didn't actually find. Out of 7 searches I've made so far, 2 were not found, and I didn't have a problem saying that, even though I KNOW I was "right there". I would think it's important to note when a cache is "not found" as it could be missing and the owner needs to know. That's my opinion, and I think everyone it entitled to it. (My opinion, that is!) sbellis
