  1. Does anyone know of a tool that will allow me to enter a random waypoint and precise heading to create a great circle. Then, return to me the antipodes on that circle?
  2. Everyone here knows that we can pick the individual states and we all know how to do it. However, that doesn't answer the question as to why the US isn't a choice in the country list. I suspect that it will take a Lackey to answer the question.
  3. To be fair, I understand that there are too many caches in the US to get in 1 or even 10 pocket queries. However, it's not relevant. Say you live somewhere in the upper northeast where you might be able to get caches in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Canada. I get that you can choose the 3 states individually, but you shouldn't have to. What doesn't make sense is having all the other countries in that list but not the United States. If we just go by what "makes sense" based on how many caches are in a country, then you could remove most countries, if not all, from that list.
  4. When trying to create a PQ, why is United States not there? To be exact, in the Within section, Countries list US states exist in the States list, however.
  5. Pocket queries are given internal unique numbers by Groundspeak. I believe that the ones that are given odd numbers are run on separate servers than the ones that are even numbered. Names have nothing to do with it.
  6. Looks like the server that runs the Odd PQ's is either WAY behindor it's down. It's been 4 hours and only the evens have run.
  7. I'm still not sure why it was removed quite some time ago, but could you please put back the link to get back to the list of pocket queries from the pocket query configuration screen? Sometimes I'm 5 or 6 changes in and want to go back to the list and it's silly to either have to hit 'back' 6 times or go back to my profile and click the pocket query link.
  8. When is the link to go back to the "Your Pocket Queries" screen from the pocket query configuration screens going to be put back? Currently the only way to do it is to either hit the back button or start over.

    PQ's Not Running

My even numbered pq's ran within minutes of checking the box. Still waiting after over 40 minutes for the odd ones... Anyone else having an issue?
  10. Yep, would be nice to have that back. "Upgrades" shouldn't add to the difficulty of navigating a site.
  11. Yep. Got odds. No evens. It's amazing to me that this happens so often.
  12. Ok, I think I have it and the solution was in your very first post. It just wasn't computing with me until I saw it. Once I changed to small data fields it points to the waypoint instead of the cache. The large data field, however, still points to the closest cache in my list of loaded caches. However, even with the large data field, the magenta line is still going to the waypoint. Kinda silly that the compass and distance in the large field wouldn't give the info for the waypoint but, whatever. I'm going to try it for a few days with the small data fields to see if I can get used to it. Either way, now I know there's some sort of method to the madness. Thanks for the help! Sorry to be a bit dense.
  13. Scratch previous post! Link in your first post worked. Link in second one didn't. Either way I got it. Trying it now...
  14. Hm, can't download it. It's using the four dots in the link as a literal part of the link, which then makes it say the link doesn't exist.
  15. Thanks, I'll give it a shot right now...back in a minute...
  16. I've typed out exact steps twice. I wonder of you can post your profile file? I'll see if it works on my unit, although you'll have to give me steps on how to load it. I've never done that.
  17. On another note, how do I post a profile file?
  18. So if you are in the geocache profile (which I have set as my default) and you click the little magnifying glass, then choose Waypoints, then a particular waypoint, it starts directing you to your chosen point? Mine instantly tries to route me to the nearest cache instead. Completely ignoring the fact that I chose a waypoint. If my profile is bad, then I know two other people who have bad profiles, as their units (650's) do the exact same thing. Note that the magnifying glass is an icon that I put on the "desktop" of the geocaching profile.
  19. I had a 450 at one time and when I selected a waypoint it would go to the waypoint. The 650 doesn't and it's annoying.
  20. Ok, I have the following scenario that I can't find a solution for. I'm on my Oregon 650 in the Geocache profile. I select Go To -> Waypoint and choose the waypoint I want. I hit Go. The Oregon then tries to send me to the nearest geocache instead of the waypoint I chose. If I switch to the Recreational profile and do the same thing, it works fine. It seems silly to have to switch profiles just to go to a waypoint. Hopefully I'm doing something wrong and this isn't intentional behavior. Anyone have any ideas?

    PQ's not running

Ran 5 pq's this morning. Odd came through almost immediately. Almost 30 minutes later and still no evens.
  22. Looks like they are either behind or the evens are down again...
  23. My 3 missing ones showed up at some point in the middle of the night. Haven't run any today...yet.
  24. Looks like the odd server is either down again or still down. Even PQ's ran almost 30 minutes ago. Still waiting on the odd...unless it's just trying to catch up from being down earlier.
  25. Boom! Looks like they are all available and have downloaded properly into GSAK. Thanks again!
