  1. Thanks... I have yet to msg them, and am not worried too much, just annoyed that they cleaned me out in one swoop, as they also took the trackable from our second cache the next day. I do realize that they are game peices, and they don't require trade items, and only place trade items when I find one worth trading for... mostly just sign logbooks, and move trackables. Thanks for the response, I will just keep waiting for them to move along. Patience is a virtue
  2. I agree, dry logs seem to be a rarity. We have a TM item we like to drop in reg+ sized caches, and I really get a kick out of trackables, have around 10 out there myself, and I always grab them so I can move them along, even if it is only a few km's. I really enjoy seeing the posts on my items, and don't really care how far they move, as much as how often. We do keep a supply of batteries, log books, baggies, pens/pencils, kiddie toys, and swag we buy form landsharkz,(our local supplier). To us, it isn't about finding cool stuff, but places, and being outdoors. The swag we carry is for just in case we come across something WORTH trading for, and the other things, are just to help fellow cacher's in maintaining there hides. To us, its not about the material things, but more about the experience.
  3. My family and I recently hid our first cache, and placed our first few coins, and our first TB. The FTF not only took both FTF prizes, but took my Guitar Geocoin, and our first TB... Basically cleaned it out, leaving 2 items, not of equal trade!!! They logged the trackables over a month ago, and said they would move along soon, but I am still waiting??? What do you do in this case, msg them in a friendly way, asking them to drop them, or what???? I am very frustrated by this!!!
  4. I agree with the previous statement... it's not the quantity, but the quality... seriously, these peanut butter containers sometimes wrapped in plastic garbage bags aren't even watertight, and don't last very long??? Plastic garbage bags not only make lousy camo, but they get torn up, and create pollution. I believe the saying goes, "Cache in, Trash out", not "Cash in Trash in!!!"
  5. We have found 22 in a day, and not in an urban area either, took 6 hrs, and 22+ starts and stops on my car... not very Geo friendly... and logging too many at once becomes a royal pain in the ... We are however planning on hitting up the city of Victoria (BC) on a blitz in the next few weeks using our Iphones, so we can log finds in the field... hoping to break 50 in a day...
  6. OK... the masses have spoken... I am not going to log it as a find, as it is cheating in my opinion... you can not 'find' something if you already know where it is. I will add it to my ignore list instead, and add it to my watchlist instead. Thanks all!!! duboisfamily
  7. Irecently got a friend of mine to join the website, gave and him his first cache. I was with him when he hid it, and my name is attached to it, but... as it is not mine, it shows on the local map as a dnf in a swarm of happy faces... frustrating!!! Is it cheating to count it as a find, so I can remove this little green box from the middle of my happy swarm?
