  1. Oops, sorry about the last two blank posts. I do have the NT version, so yeah, you answered my question. I haven't actually tried it yet, just trying to get it set up right to start with. Thank you for your help.
  2. I just bought an Oregon 400t and City Navigator. After installing City Nav, I read the instructions on how to load maps to my GPS unit. There is a highlighted note that if your GPS unit supports auto-routing (which my Oregon does) to select the Include Route Calculation Data check box (located at the bottom of the Maps tab). Mine stays grayed out and I can't click on it. Any suggestions? I already went to preferences and marked Auto Routing.
  3. We have a very gently used REI Piggyback carrier that we would be willing to sell. Our son has outgrown it after just a few uses, so it's like brand new. If you Google REI Piggyback, I think it's the first thing that comes up, and ours is even the same color (burgundy). Take a look at it and let me know if you are interested and we can figure out a price.
  4. oops, I'm so green at this, that I replied to the first post. Thanks for your input.
  5. Thanks for the advice. Yes, I was trying to figure out if I would need the topo with the short little hikes we will be taking with our son. If there are other advantages besides the topo, I may just go with the 400. What do you think about the City Nav?
  6. I have yet to purchase a GPS and start geocaching, but have been trying to educate myself from this site and have narrowed down my purchase. I think I want an Oregon, but don't know if I should get the 300 or 400t. Primary usage will be geocaching, but want to use for auto nav too. For geogaching, will having the topo maps be something I will really need? We have a 2 1/2 year old that we will be geocaching with, so long hikes aren't in the picture for the next few years for us. Also, should I go ahead and get City Navigator software? Sorry if these seem basic to experienced cachers, but without having done it before I'm not sure what to get. Any comments will be appreciated.
