  1. It is totally a game...so if they want to use hints, who cares.
  2. OK Snoogans, now let's hear your story.
  3. Huh. So, at what point does a log cross the line from "TNLNSL", and become entertaining? Do you delete substandard logs? Um, it doesn't cross the line. As a cache placer I ask that you log your find online. Although, I'd prefer to see a nice post talking about the journey there, or the search that insued, I realize that is not always going to happen. Sometimes people are in a hurry, sometimes it is their way of saying they didn't care for the cache, sometimes they have 50 to log and they really don't remember much about it. I just ask that you log it online. --RuffRidr IP/BKOS/GBN/ETC...
  4. I was a tadpole, but someone said it would change after 10 posts -- let's see what happens. Yep -- they were right -- the title now is Geocacher. Interesting.
  5. I have used Velamints gum tins (painted different colors) for almost all of my caches so far -- I call them micros because they only hold a small log paper and a couple of small pencils. There is room for small trade items, but not much. I'd expect that a standard cache would have room for a typical travel bug item, which mine do not.
  6. Is it really that important whether it is a 1 or 2 difficulty level? I mean, who really cares, as long as you let folks know in your description what they may have to do to access the cache.
  7. I don't think they are being stolen -- some people just don't know what to do with them. Many bugs have a tag with detailed instructions, but many do not.
  8. What's with the word 'tadpole' beneath the avatar, rather than a more appropriate word like 'geocacher?" Is this a slight jab to get folks to become premium members, so they can remove the silly title?
  9. Ditto -- another vote for the 70 year old geocacher -- carleenp's mother.
  10. I'll be findin' a pint of Guinness today -- geocaches tomorrow.
  11. Not a 'lurker' -- just a first time visitor to these forums. Hello!
  12. Thanks for the information -- I may give it a try. I'm just starting this sport, and hiking is one of the main things that I like about it. Of course topo maps of south Florida are not that interesting -- since everything is flat down here. We have a 'mountain' that is 88 ft high!
  13. Thanks -- this is very helpful information for new geocachers.
