Can anyone tell me what the preloaded roadmaps are like on the PN-40 in comparison to the Vista HCx with City Navigator 2008 loaded? Roadtrips are definately not my main purpose for getting a GPS (or I wouldn't be looking at handhelds), but I want some decent capability of at least getting me where I want to go without having to preload waypoints before I leave my computer. So, how does the PN-40 with the preloaded maps compare to the Vista HCx with CN loaded? The PN-40 seems quite a bit better, but it's already more expensive. If the base street program is comparable then that reduces the final cost. If I have to buy a street program that will add the final cost quite a bit...
Also, do both of these units let me enter a place to go without loading it as a waypoint from the computer? I mean, if I'm out of town and decide I want to go to Joe's Crab Shack, can I just type that in and get directions to it on both of these units?
Thanks!
