  1. more detail, what cache are we talking about, can we read it. Will you post what you have been trying to post as your log so we can read it. We cant give you advice without detail
  2. previous post is correct, if we want it to change we must forcefully start using an alternative and see if you can get others in your area to start using it as well. I have actively starting using sith and sithed ... it is shorter than muggled and easier to type even
  3. An ammo cans would be painful, at an average of 6-8 dollars give or take. That doesn't even count the amount of swag. I have not had an Ammo go missing but I have had several others go missing. I am sorry that happened to you. Don't let it stop you but I feel like it ALMOST makes me understand people place Tupperware in the desert.
  4. I do maintenance on caches i find constantly. I personally hate getting needs maintenance logs on caches I own for little things. I am more than willing to maintain my caches but I THINK everyone who owns more than one cache has gotten one of those needs maintenance logs for something that .... really did not detriment the cache. There are a lot of caches that I have loved finding and because of the status would have probably been archived if left in the condition i have found them, so I do the maintenance; a new mint tin, some new cammo tape, a new log for a full one, a baggy on the old log and a dry one, a new magnet, a gallon back for the swag if the rubber seal on the ammo can is no good, lots of little things. So i feel like a "finders maintenance" option to keep track of this and even be there if the reviewers attention is brought to a cache (wether they think of it is a good or bad thing) would be a great feature. i know in some states like hawaii were they have high tourist placed caches where the reviewer has asked a local to adopt a cache ( i heard this from a couple of locals while i was there) would help COs and reviewers locate a willing or possible candidate for adoption if for some reason teh cache has to be handed over such as a cacher leaving an area.
  5. buy them at REI yyyyyayyyyy
  6. in phoenix I like summer one and summer three. Summer two (the real summer) is a little two hot for about one month. Summer one is spring and it is nice, so is summer three (fall) is great to.

  8. raddad PPPPAAAAA! (just kidding love his hides) I can't believe none of the Arizona caches including cachemeister up there have brought up JeanandJoe. They have 500 caches spread over quite a distance and two cities. I dnfed a few of there caches and they emailed me the next day. From what i understand they maintain well and quickly and have found quite a few of there caches and they were well maintained.
  9. this is also another form focused site for arizona cachers az cachers
  10. They did a study with childlren in elementary school in the early nineties. The children were presented with pictures of thing men and fat men and asked a series of questions. The chose the fat man when asked which was a criminal. They chose the thin man when asked which was smarter, more well off, and a better person. I know that there is no real correlation but .. ya
  11. Keep in mind they are government buildings funded by the government and treated like a government building in all respects (unless it is a private schools, this is true of charter schools). that many geocachers are older individuals, a higher population of men and some of them are overweight . With that description it can be uncomfortable near a school.
  12. To be honest I would not have logged cached I now own after an adoption. After my two cents have been delivered, my next statement is WHO CARES. So what if you have a couple extra numbers. I would ignore these people there is little to nothing they can do about it. If you really wanted to you could send an EXTREMELY cordial email explaining your thinking and telling them you respect their opinion. To be honest, I would just ignore it.
  13. mad bomber knows the rules through and through and has helped archive caches for being burried with a tool before. no concern. You should probably get used to a thin layer of rocks
  14. I am sitting here watching one of my wife's favorite shows, Extreme Makeover Home Addition. The family this week was talking about their hobbies and talked about geocaching, followed by a quick condensed description! Geocaching win!!
  15. are your caches sponsored by, paid for, and promoted by burger king?
  16. I have both a children of the 80s series and a stargate themed cache located on a stargate ... because you are not profiting from the endeavor in anyway there should be very little issue ... what are they going to sue you for?

  21. We were on vacation in hawaii and did not have our car tag. We were driving and some guy was driving like a jerk so we flipped him off and he sped off past us. As he passed we saw he had a trackable car tag on his car. We felt like jerks. Today we were hiking and a guy stopped us and asked where he would pop out if he follows the trail and i didnt think anything about it. After he was gone my wife was like " i think he was a cacher". apparently he had a gps and really seemed to be one
