  1. Of course it's possible. I just want to know if Garmin has done it, and on what specific products...
  2. Is there a pair of Garmin GPSes that will let me send coordinates from a 'handheld' (e.g. GPSMAP 62) to a 'car' GPS (currently have a nüvi® 3490LMT, but a little unhappy that I can't send to it from an iPhone with smartlink, so already considering a newer nuvi...)? I'd prefer an RF protocol (and bluetooth over ANT), but IR is okay, I suppose... Sort of an aside: is the ability to send an address from Google maps (on a desktop computer) to a Garmin GPS over the air (I think it used the traffic system) just totally dead?
  3. I tried searching to see if this had been covered before--this restriction on searching for strings under five characters seems weird and counterproductive. Anyway, I wonder if anyone could tell me a good source for bison tubes and/or magnetic "nano" containers in small bulk quantities--about a hundred pieces or so. I'm in the Southeastern U.S. Thanks.
  4. I have a Garmin Nuvi, and have successfully exported gpx files to it--geocaches show up on the GPS' map. They do not, however, show up in the 'geocaches' menu, and they kinda clutter up my address book. Does anyone know how the Nuvi is supposed to differentiate between geocaches and other points of interest? Garmin's docs just refer you to geocaching.com...
  5. We just ordered a Mini Cooper with the factory navigation system for my wife, and I wonder if anyone has done any hacking on these for geocaching. Obviously she'd need to use her handheld to actually find the cache, at least most of the time, but the car's navigation system would probably be handy for the approach... Thanks, Heath
