  2. I wonder how the good Dr got mailing addresses?
  3. quote:Originally posted by sparklehorse:Something's mighty fishy here! After reading the piece in the paper I looked up the now famous cache where Oregone's mug shot was taken, the "Clatskanie Fire Tower" cache. Guess what, there's no recent log of Oregone's there! Why? Because he found that cache way back in August of _2 0 0 1_! Yet according to the article he left a vintage 2002 PGE CD in the cache. What's up with that? Man if this means there's another cacher out there with a time machine I'm crying foul. Confused in PDX. I think it's more like he first visited in 2001 and took the reporter to that cache cause he knew it was a good one. While there with the reporter he left a cd just so the reporter could see something traded.
  4. Lets see here: Billybob vs mtn10bike One has 12 finds and an attitude, one has played a big part in shaping geocaching into the great game we enjoy today. I know whos judgement I trust. If one of the admins questions one of your caches billybob, you should be asking yourself whats wrong with this cache, not whats wrong with this admin.
  5. I was supposed to roll all my loose change that day, but to h*** with that! Put me down for a strong maybe.
  6. I think it very cool that Jeremy took the time to put this out to all the cachers and ask for the verdict of the caching community, especially when he knew he was gonna get flamed for it. I think the site is run great and appriciate all the work Jeremy and his merry Elves put into keeping the place running as smoothly as it does. So here is a big Venti Thank You.
  7. I would definatly like to take the ol' Internal Combustion War Chariot out on the track and smite a few of my fellow cachers but alas I will be out of town that week.
  8. quote:Originally posted by Kodak's4:I understand that you think publicly humiliating people is funny. I'm sorry, I disagree. I think it's pretty sick. I have a pretty well developed sense of humor; but this isn't some sophisticated form of humor, here, this is infantile bullying. Woha! Whats wrong Kodak? Aliens forgot to remove the probe again?
  9. This does indeed suck. I thought Joe was the hands down best cache placer in Portlandia. When ever I needed a cache fix and didn't want to sift through all the thrown-out-the-window-doing-sixty-right-by-the-one-I-threw-out-the-window-last-week caches I just looked up his name. Never once disappointed. Ya know how sometimes you get to a cache and all thats there is an ammo can? No view, no hike, nothing of interest but the cache itself? Joe's were the complete opposite. The cache at the end was trivial compared to everything else he showed you. If he is gone, it is a most sad event.
  10. quote:Speaking of debauchery, is there anything to do within a few blocks of the bremerton best western on the Just down the road is the Bethel Tavern. The Harley Davidson bar guide has a little blurb here about it. I would not wear your "Feminist chicks dig me shirt" though if I were you.
  11. quote:Originally posted by leatherman: quote:Originally posted by sskamp:I have created three virtual caches because of something unique _YAWN_ quote:PS I am not lazy Hmm, no investment. No effort. Anyone can take waypoints where ever they go and post a virtual. Boring. Three out of four of your caches are virtual. What are you contributing to this sport? What we have here is 10 pounds of **** in a 5 pound bag. If you two are gonna start fighting like a couple of teenage girls over the last N'Sync concert ticket, take it to the general forum. But really, the NW fourums have been rather flame free. So if you want to beat this old tired subject yet again take it elsewhere.
  12. I vowed not to set foot in Bremerton again until the White Pig Tavern (aka The Albino Swino) was rebuilt. I must, however, admit that this intrigues me.
  13. Evil tape? Huh, I barely noticed. Guess it's all relative. Watched this compilation of 50's weapons tests and warnings of impending doom. I give it two thumbs up. It is now in the Three More Parks cache out in Beaverton. The only thing that bugs me is I feel their may have been some sort of clue in all the madness that I missed.

  17. quote:Originally posted by Trafcon:By the way, how are the burgers there?? KTF !!! GBWY !!! The burgers are pretty good, especially if you like fish. As far as the tag line goes, ktf=keep the faith? Or maybe Kittens are Tungsten Fodder. Ya that must be it.
  18. I hope you realize what you just did. I believe the kids today would describe your post as a "shout out to my Homies", word. And after a year I can definitely say that your input into the pdx community has been greatly valued by us all. Now, how bout a little celebratory libation on Wednesday?
  19. Outstanding. Kyle, should you ever show your face at one of the usual gatherings I'll be the first to buy you a libation of your choice.
  20. quote:Originally posted by dasein:Yeah, sometimes that really does happen. Cool, ain't it? You make it sound like a good thing?

  24. Thanks oregone but yes I do have to take the blame for this one. Permission has always been a requirement, for as long as I've been caching anyway. As far as the night trips goes, it's the hiders responsibility to make sure all the relevant information is posted. That includes park hours if appropriate. Some parks do not have hours posted. Some, like forest park, are open until late at night. The signs are at the trailhead they used but it's quite possible that someone could drive right by one and not see it. If they did not see the sign and the cache page did not say different it's not unreasonable to think the park was open. Regardless, I should have posted the dusk to dawn requirement.
