  1. Fansastitical. If you promise to drop one near Portland again, I promise not to chase you through the woods for it. Again.
  2. quote:Don't forget to include the intangibles, like the feeling of The Tungsten Jihad! T-boning you into the wall. That's got some value! MMMmmmm Teeebooooone. Rainbows are pretty. I don't know why I shoot at them.
  3. quote:Originally posted by pkpaul:I adopted the caches so that they would not be archived. They are an important part of the history of Geocaching and I want them to stay active. Hey Paul, that is very cool of you to do. I'm actually a bit embarrassed that someone from the east coast had to take the bull by the horns and save this cache instead of one of us local folk. quote:Certainly if Jerry or Moun10Bike or someone else in the area wanted it, and could properly take care of it, I would let it go. I think you've earned the right to keep the cache active under your account as long as you choose or Jerry doesn’t object (see the july 20th log, that's kind of interesting). Since it looks like Jerry still stops by from time to time, I'm not sure if help with maintenance is needed but if it is, feel free to send me an emial. Rainbows are pretty. I don't know why I shoot at them.
  4. First here. Then here. Rainbows are pretty. I don't know why I shoot at them.
  5. Are you sure we can't move this thing to Cassidy's? Yes. But only if by ''Cassidy's'', you mean Sassy's. Rainbows are pretty. I don't know why I shoot at them.
  6. Congrats Denali! You deserve it. I may be misreading the maps, I may just not be remembering this right but, I think those coordinates are like 200 feet from a multi! And to make matters worse, the owner of said cache was fanatically pursuing this hunt. Boy is he gonna be pissed. Rainbows are pretty. I don't know why I shoot at them.
  7. I have seen Strippaz and been in awe of their whirling pasties. I have seen Klingons sing Sinatra. I have seen the Geo Gourde! I have seen the horror on the faces of Reed graduates as they gaze upon a drunk shirtless logger doing one arm pushups. I have seen yurts with disco balls. I have seen the rare Flying Squirrel of Champoeg. I have seen that chicks from the methadone clinic can be hot. I have seen a downtown ''watering hole'' in a major motion picture. Rainbows are pretty. I don't know why I shoot at them.
  8. Ribbed For Her Jihad!. I swear I didn't make this up. Rainbows are pretty. I don't know why I shoot at them.
  9. Holy Fo-Shizzle my Nizzle! Denali, that is one awesome site! You Sir, deserve a wreath of laurel leaves to adorn your brow! Rainbows are pretty. I don't know why I shoot at them.
  10. Cashman: Open any cache page from the state you want to see. Near the top of the page is the Hidden on date, just above that is a line with the state and country its hidden in. The map link is on that line. Rainbows are pretty. I don't know why I shoot at them.
  11. I'm not a big fan of micros myself but I have to second bazzle when he says: Urban Walkabout Time Machine and Urban Art Do walkabout on a Saturday and you will pass by the Portland farmers market, several times. You will not be dissapointed. ANY of the caches in the Columbia River Gorge are great. Here's one: Old Mill Pond And last but not least, there is Oregone's (instrumental version). Oregone is our local rogue. If there is mischief about the Portlandia cache scene, Oregone will not be far away and this cache a perfect example. I'm sure a few mp3's could be sent your way if it interests you. And the dragon comes in the NNIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHH!!
  12. What the hell? That sounds just like me! And the dragon comes in the NNIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHH!!
  13. Posted to the forum: 8:00 Found: 8:27 Hehe. Left a Singapore 20 cent piece. And the dragon comes in the NNIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHH!!
  14. I was silent when the finds disappeared from the map page. I was silent when the first deadline for the improved map page came and went. We're working on a better mapping solution which should be available by the end of May. I've been waiting patiently for this second deadline. Look at the calendar Jeremy. I'm now at the end of my patience. For me the map page was very useful in planning out my caching day. Please put the whip to the horses and get this thing fixed. ps I still think you're doing a great job with the site. And the dragon comes in the NNIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHH!!
  15. 2 more cents: Clue No. 7 A tad too far one way and success will be denied. A stretch of 36 bounds the other side. Assume that this sets two borders. One is a stretch of 36 and a tad the other way is the other. What if this is the 36 boundary. If you look at a map, the other could be the Willamette. There is a thin slice of land between the two that has several parks in it. Clue No. 2 Count on the bounty if it numbers fifteen. From one of these, the treasure you'll glean. Hmmm, guess where river mile 15 is? Clue No. 4 Do you work alone? An '03 conference could assist. Info passes by in dribbles. Men and women, do persist. In April Portland hosted the Olmsted Conference. John Olmsted was a famous landscape architect around 1900. He may have planned Willamette park (not sure though). I know the Oregonian knew about the conference because they wrote an article about it. And at about the time they must have been working on clues. Clue No. 6 The lily was a beauty, but you can't relive that fun. This ring stretches outward. A compass reads 21. He did plan the 40 mile loop, which happens to run right between bus route 36 and the river. The ring stretchs outward? The loop is under constant expansion. I've walked the area but didn't see anything that jived with the other clues. Let's see if anyone comes up with anything else. Good luck! And the dragon comes in the NNIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHH!!
  16. Ok, here's my thoughts on the rest of um. Keep in mind some of this is reaching. Treasure dawns with sunrise! This might refer to the east but when taken with the rest of the clue I think it means a time. Now it's quite okay to plan your course in pj's. Now? When is Now? Sunrise. And why is it ok cause it's sunrise? How many times have you read: Park open sunrise to sunset? Or it could refer to some event that takes place daily at sunrise. Plan your course: Don't really know. It implies that multiple routes or options exist. PJ's, it think is another time reference. When does someone wear PJ's. Late at night and early morning. Probably morning based on the first line. Will that be java or o.j.? Again, both typical breakfast/early morning drinks. It could also be a reference to a landmark, a starbucks type place close to a java juice or some such. But I think it less likely than the time theory. I'm weak on clue 2 but here goes: Count on the bounty if it numbers fifteen. So, plan on finding it if it numbers 15. 15 what? Can't be something random like trees, no one would know where to start counting. Obviously it has to be something sequentional or something with 15 in it prominently. 15th street? From one of these, the treasure you'll glean One of these implies plurality. Multi 15's? How many 15th streets we got? This clue could go so many different ways, I have no idea. As sites go, this one is Bo. Nadia loves it, don't you know. The sites part obviously refers to a location. I agree that the rest means ten which is commonly thought of as perfect. But it can't be a subjective perfect. It must mean something quantifiable, like if a mountain were named perfect peak. Perhaps it refers to somekind of top ten list. Does the Oregonian do a best of portland poll like so many cities do? Or it could have nothing to do with perfection and only the ten has meaning. Them's my thoughts on the subject. For my next trick I will divine the price of tea in China by reading the CO2 bubbles in Oregone's beer glass. And the dragon comes in the NNIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHH!!
  17. My .02: Do you work alone? An '03 conference could assist. As was said, this probably refers to basketball. Do you work alone? Well, no. No one works alone especially on a basketball team. The assist part: Guess who was number 10 in assists in the league in 03? Damon Stoudamire (5.6APG). Info passes by in dribbles. More basket ball references. So if Damon dribbled the ball past you what information would you obtain? I would say that he wears #3. Men and women, do persist. I have no idea. Possibly a reference to a future clue? And the dragon comes in the NNIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHH!!
