Ww !! I just realized that some of my suggestions have been implemented in the last update ! ^ That's done ! It will be so much easier to save the final coordinates directly on the trail as Corrected coordinates and have these show on the online profile as well ! ^ Done also ! As soon as you select a map type, the app sends you back to the map showing this newly selected type ! ^ Mostly done : the button is still called "Details" but instead of a generic text explaining what a Traditional cache is, it now leads to the cache Description ! These are valuable improvements ! Thank you for implementing them !!

Yes, the notes are available in the app. You just need to open the 3-dots menu and check if there is a note attached to this cache. My suggestion is to add an indicator showing that a personal note exist for this cache on the app. So each time you open a cache, if there is a note, you can see this indicator and say "Oh yeah, that's true, I added a note for myself on this cache, let's go and read it !"

I geocache exclusively using the Android app and I love it, although I always stumble on the same little annoyances that I think could be easily fixed. So I decided to gather them in a list as improvement suggestions (please note that I use the app in French so the actual menu items might be named a little differently): - In the profile menu, the Statistics page show only our D/T grid and refers to our online dashboard page for more stats: this should be a link to open our Dashboard page directly in the browser ! - I always save Wherigos and Letterboxes final coordinates as Corrected coordinates, so these get synched with the website, as all my friends do. The website offers this possibility but not the app. Please add this feature ! - Selecting new map type should bring directly back to the map: moving the checkmark before selecting the Back arrow doesn't add any value. - The Map type selection is either an icon on the map or a menu item in the ... menu. It is confusing and would be simpler if always selectable from an icon on the map. - A "Personnal Note indicator" would be nice. Personnal notes are very important in the field: if I placed one on a cache page, it should be readily visible, just like the Hint is: either green (if a note exist) or greyed out (no note avail.) - Add to Watchlist: caches can be added to our personnal lists but the feature to add to "the" watchlist is missing. - Filters: having the possibility to filter by "placed date", "Not found by" and "Caches with corrected coords" would be really great ! - Projection: being able to create a new waypoint by projecting an existing one would be really helpful. - The "Navigate to" button leads to a different view for a Traditional cache: the distance is shown in a small box in the lower pull up menu. It would be easier to read if the distance was always shown in larger characters on the top part of the map. It would also be more consistent with the view for the other cache types. - Navigate to pull up menu: the large "Details" button is useless. It should be replaced by a "Description" button leading to the cache description. The ability to pull the menu even further up revealing the cache attributes would also be really great ! - The last improvement item I have is to fix the offline caches lists and offline maps. I struggled a lot using these features when geocaching in remote area. And I consider myself to be an experienced user so I can only imagine how less familiar users might feel. Offline maps and caches take forever to refresh, which doesn't make sense since they should all be stored in my cellphone. And they always crash after some time, rendering their use for a whole trip useless. Sadly, I have to rely on other apps or take my old hiking GPS wherever cell signal is not guaranteed. But this would be more a fix than a new feature suggestion. Thank you for reading me. I hope this list helps improve the app. Keep up the ggod work and happy trail everyone !

About a year ago, Groundspeak brought Challenges caches back with a few clarification of the rules. This was necessary because Challenges had become a bit of a mess since everybody tried to be original in their own way. But at least one problem still exist with Challenge Caches: some of them require finding one or more caches on a specific date or a series of dates. Owners of date-specific Challenge caches would expect geocachers to actually get out and find a cache on the day they would claim a find for that cache. But a recurrent problem with caches that allow multiple founds is that most do not require additional visits for the additional Found logs. The result is that some geocachers use those caches to fill a few boxes in their caching calendar. I'm surprised no-one brought this up yet but, when I saw the announcement, my first thought was that it would fix a loophole in the Challenge rules once and for all!

2,000,000+ active caches in the world. Why should Groundspeak make an exception for a handful that don't respect the guidelines ? These are virtuals or locationless caches in disguise. Of course, they are interesting because they are rare. But logging them once should be enough. Personally, if I had climbed hundreds of hills to find a brass cap monument, I'd like to see an equivalent amount of Found logs in my profile. If those locations are so meaningful, why not get them their own cache ?
