How can there still be doubt on this subject? Geocaching got its start as a USENET forum where people posted the first 'geocaches' for others to find. Since only 1 cache is listed for Canada at the date shown in the earlier posts, which is Ken Kane's, how could any be registered before hand? Without a cache being listed for others to find how could it be a geocache? Even if others were placed before Ken's, which there is no evidence for, the fact that no one could find them due to them not being listed does not qualify them as 'geocaches'.

I've had both Canadian versions, Topo and Street, and Topo is much better, it is an upgrade with everything Street has and much more topo features. Even in relatively flat Nova Scotia all the rivers and marshes in view make the going easier.

Our name is Lost2gether and we live in Shelburne, Nova Scotia, Canada. We are looking for someone to help us finish the Where's in a name? cache. Our name gives us 57º 18.2.... this puts us near the same latitude as Aberdeen. Any help would be appreciated.

Just wondering if anyone has used the new Mapsend Topo Canada software yet. Would like to see some opinions before buying.
