You know, bottom line to all this thread is just buy what you like and not what other people think you should have. Enjoy the hobby with which ever GPS unit you end up buying or having. Most people know what they want so the decision is very simple isnt it. John.

One handed operation on the 60C is very easy to use and I do like the screen on top when holding the unit with one hand. It feels like it was made to use with one hand. John.

By the way, my friend is buying two units because this way he can get the 2610 and install it in his wife to be car for Valentines day and get the 60C for him self since he will be using it for geo cache and his motorcycle also. John

I have a new 60C and been playing with it for about little over a week now and took the unit to a friends house yesturday and show him what a gps can do. When I went over to his house, it looks like they are buying a new home because the wife to be is having a baby and need a bigger house now. He was going to show me what the new house is located and what it looks like when I got there, so I told him don't tell me how to get there and just let me know the address number and street name. We took off in my car with the 60C and city select software loaded on to my unit. I punched in the address and the 60C navagator did a turn by turn and took us right to in front of his new house! He was so impressed that he is going to buy one today, a 60C and a 2610. John

Hi, the only time this has happened to my 60C was when I was using rechargable batterys with one bar left and had the battery save option turned on. John.

I just got a new map60C and I am starting to use it more in the car then caring it around with me so since I was going to get the map60cs in the first place and got the map60C instead, I first thought maybe I should buy a street pilot for the car but found out how much more it is compared to the map60 so I will buy a map60CS when it comes out and leave the map60C in the car. Now I don't have to wait since I have a 60C to play with and will get a 60CS soon. I really hate waiting don't you. John.

I am also new to this sport and I researched and found that the Garmin map60 was the way to go for me and knowing myself I normally go for the top of the line in anything I buy(you get what you pay for normally). I looked into both units specs. (map60C & map60cs) and decided to get the map60C, since I am new to this sport I thought well there is always somthing better that comes out when you buy your top of the line toyso I bought the map60C and took it home. What a great machine. There are so much you can set and do with this machine. I do not regrete buying the 60C instead of the 60CS and maybe next your there might be somthing better then the 60cs with maybe a SD Card, so I will enjoy my new toy for now until the next new toys comes out next year, it is an on going cycle, will it ever end. heehee John.
