i have a nuvi 500 and had a glich in the soft ware went to garmin support and called them they walked me thru the master reset and a update works fine now found 4 caches yesterday very helpful when i called in connected to computer and have seen no more problems. on my compass screen it will go down in distance down to zero it was right on hunting yesterday.

if you haven't bought a 500 they have them at REI for 289.00 which is 210.00 less than most places it works good for geocahe hunting and it has a walking mode and compass.

I HAVE A NUVI 500 IT HAS A COMPASS AND OFF ROAD NAVIGATION AND MARINE USE. SEEMS TO BE VERY ACCURATE. WILL AQUIRE FULL SIGNAL IN TWO STORY HOUSE .
