As a new user...what is this product and why do I need it?

The Garmin 60C is my first GPS. Ive gotten most of the basics down but have a question about auto routing. If I load maps across four states for a road trip, and leave a significant gap in loaded maps, will it still auto route to the final destination? I want to load sections of central Colorado, Arizona, California, Oregon and Washington but not huge areas of Utah and Nevada. Will auto routing work like this? Thanks for your help.

I loaded Metroguide on my 60C here in the United States. Would the problem you're talking about apply here?

I'm looking for a general review of the 60C. Is it a good GPS to replace the Garmin V on my motorcycle? Because it is so new, I'm having trouble getting any feedback even from the internet retailers.

I'm a motorcycle rider. I've been researching this for a couple of months now and still can't make up my mind. At this point is there any good reason to by the GPS V? (Other than it is cheaper.)
