  1. Um, tired this morning: The Lost and Found Event cache also has its own category, thus not added to the sum twice. Sorry about that. Thor/more coffee
  2. Hi, I looked at my stats only to find one even cache found. Clicking at this category of caches lists my two attendances. Although one is archived, should this not sum up to two cache finds? I'd like to know before finding my 500th cache. Yours, Thor
  3. Clyde, Thanks for sorting out the bug reported in my previous posting. Of course, the right click menu is the one I use regularly so I don't have to sit up and wait for the maintenance update .) However, since I requested the following features I feel obliged to inform you that this to me does not work very well: When the offline view window (lower in split) takes focus, very often the top text is marked as well followed by "hangs" in gsak. it appears to me that there is some kind of "copy text" involved; I get mouse pointers indicating that I cannot paste clipboard content here. Now, you implemented <space> scrolling. This, however, requires the window to have focus. Now, if the <space> would scroll the lower window without focus, that could be an alternative too... at least as a workaround. Not to forget: keep up the good work! yours, Thor Anders
  4. Clyde, Thanks for the new version! There are, however, a couple of things odd to me: In the "waypoint" menu, "show offline" menu item now expands, not "custom url". Weird is the fact that when I hold the pointer over the "show offline" menu, a new browser window automatically opens...no pressing <F4>. and this happens all the time... something new implemented, that I could turn off? yours, Thor Anders
  5. hi, I find it a bit slow to have to click in the lower window to scroll the cache page itself. to me, this window does not take focus, like the upper one. I was wondering if it was possible to fix this... or to incorporate an xnews like config where <space> scrolls the lower half. or...did I miss something? yours, Thor Anders Aarhaug
  6. yesterday I went for a "Robinson Crusoe" cache; located on an island on a nearby lake... the water was way too cold... I am now awaiting colder days for me to walk out there... Thor Anders
  7. thanks for all the replies! firstly, I'd never -- with the exception of trading out -- remove items from caches that are not mine. after reading this thread I think my actions at this point will be zero. as someone so philosophically stated, I am not really offended rather discomforted with this content. with more "offensive propaganda" I think I'd quetly remove it, without making any more fuzz. if the already placed booklets sticks I'll replace them with more attractive items. Thor Anders (soon to be on vacation on an island with two caches and three travelbugs)
  8. hi, recently, some GCers visiting my home area have looked up and also placed new caches. the content placed are very often of a religious nature: booklets, CDs, etc. obviously not being a religious man, I feel a bit offended by this and quite frankly I want this content removed from my own caches. partly because I feel that these are subjective but also because I think noone will ever pick up these items so that they'll fill the container forever. I'm not sure what to compare with, but to me it's like unwanted flyers in the mailbox. I mean, what's next? the labour party programme? Am I completely off here? Thor Anders
  9. hi, could anyone give me suggestions on how to manage my waypoints and tracks with Mapsource? As of now, I find the lack of a "synchronization" frustrating. I might be wrong, but I have not figured a way to "import" the GPS settings into an existing .gdb file. the "open from gps" creates a new file from which I have to copy a set of tracks or waypoints and then open another file to paste in. this would not be so cumbersome if Mapsource could handle more than one file open at a time. could someone enlighten me? Thor Anders
