  1. As long as the whole family is not against geocaching. Then they would be..... oh ...... nevermind!
  2. I'm sure there are a lot of single women who don't like their boyfriends spending time geocaching. Perhaps they could be S.W.A.G.
  3. Looks good, but does it auto-route? That is a must.
  4. I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I know exactaly how you feel. last year I lost a $400.00(US) Ipaq with hard case and 250 MB SD card. I am still depressed about it, and have not replaced it.
  5. Do you have the communication on the GPSr set to NMEA? That is the only way it can talk to S&T.
  6. Yes that will easily fit, along with all of Los Angeles county, Monterey county, Orange county, and parts of Riverside, San Bernardino, and Kern counties. 56 Megs will hold a lot; its just that California has some very densely populated areas that take up a lot of memory.
  7. I would love to get a Santa Cruz coin. I still have all these to trade! Many of these I have two of if Jeeptoysrus would like to trade (hint, hint).
  8. A very good idea! People lets please respect the wishes of CR on this one. Sissy is doing all of us (and mostly me!) a favour to distribute my coins. Lets make it as easy as possible for her! She is doing a great job and personaly I would not like to see that it becomes a problem for her. Like CR said IF a new lot is minted it WILL be on first come firstserved basis at Sissy's shop. We will keep you informed. AGAIN I would like to ask people to support Sissy's other great products as well! I know this is better for Sissy, but I like the waiting list. I do not have access to a computer until I get home from work, and sometimes that is very late. If the first come first served system were in place for the first order, they would all have been sold out before I even got a chance to order. Because I already got my order (thank you again Sissy!) this won't affect me, but I thought you might like to hear the other side.
  9. I would love to get one of those Rubicon Bros coins or a Santa Cruz coin. Here is what I have to trade: GBES (winter) GGA 2005 Vacman South Africa UTAG Calgary USA 2005 Geowoodstock III (unregistered) Canejo Cachers 2004 MiGO California 2004 Comming soon: California 2005 Alaska Colorado Or I am always willing to trade for any personal geocoins. Thanks!
  10. 2 Tickets to a play by the Los Angeles Opera at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Seating was in the center orchestra (value approximately $80.00 per ticket), and the date just happened to be on my wife’s (the Tigger Lady) birthday!
  11. I'm sorry, that is simply not true. If the white man had “did his damnedest” to wipe them out, they would all be gone. I'm sorry for going off topic, but I could not let a statement that ignorant pass.
  12. Yes, I have had that happen. One coin never got to me even after 3 weeks. Luckily the person who sent me the coin sent me a replacement. When I got it the envelope had a slit in the side near the bottom where the coin was. However, the sender put the coin inside another smaller envelope inside, and I received the coin anyway. Since then I have been very suspicious of the USPS.
  13. Changing the core criteria does not make your point any more valid. If they owned the land, they would not be squating. If they are living on the land illegally, they should be removed. If they accept help that is offered, wonderful, but if they do not, it doesn't meen they should stay. Your 'Grace of God' argument, also doesn't hold up. I once knew a guy that owned a car wash. He would hire homeless people to work at the car wash. He only had a few simple rules. Be polite to customers. Don't be late. Don't no-show without getting word to him. Don't show up under the influence. He didn't pay much, but it gave those individuals who wanted to get on their feet a chance to do so. Those that put in the effort, got to make a living. There were many that didn't. My point is, no one has to be homeless. There are jobs out there. They may be crappy minimum wage jobs, but they are there. We make our own luck, for the most part. I refuse to accept that the homeless are homeless and nothing can be done. This is exactly right. A friend of mine who is a Pastor makes a habit of going to downtown L.A. to pass out food to the homeless there. One day he mentioned that there were over 100 beds at the Salvation Army; all they had to do is pass a drug test. The S.A. drug test only needs to show they have not taken any drugs for 3 days. Not one of them said they could do it. As one who has been there I have very little sympathy for them, and I never give them money. Instead I give to the S.A. who has done more for the homeless then all the liberal "progressives" combined.
  14. I would also like to get one of those Santa Cruz coins. I have a South Africa coin I will trade. Thanks!
  15. Pretty woman, but not so cute kid. My wife, the Tigger Lady and her son Mike of Mutley Crue on the Pushawalla Power Path. Actually the staff would be for her as her bad knee is getting worse and it is harder for her to do trails like this.
  16. I bought my 60c from Tigergps, and I did not have any problem with them. BTW, how cheap for the gps18?
  17. Athens in 80-81? Hmmmm...what brought you there? I was stationed there when I was in the Army. My job as a nuclear weapons electronics calibration specialist had me driving from one end of the country to the other, but I lived near Piraeus, just outside of Athens. YanniG, what’s the big deal? If they are leaving Drachmas, clear them out and buy yourself some Ouzo.
  18. I wish there were geocaches when I was in Athens (1980-81)! I have been to the canter of Athens many times, as well as to many of the islands.
  19. I'm sorry, but the homeless scenario is the least believable. As a former member of that community myself, I can assure you that the idea that homeless people are just ordinary people down on their luck is a myth. A homeless person would not hide that much money because they would immediately spend it on drugs or booze. I am not trying to be insensitive to the homeless, I am just telling the truth. Most likely it was a drug money stash by a street dealer who later got arrested. I would keep the money and not lose any sleep over it.
  20. Yes, there are a couple around here too. Centered on the Corona, CA area.
  21. Thank you everybody that offered to help with Sacramento area cache listings, you people helped me a lot. I have now returned from Sacramento and waiting for me was my completed paypal transaction. I am now a premium member again and all is right with the world.
  22. I just placed my order for 50. These will make a nice compliment to the coins. Thanks!
  23. For over a year I have had my premium membership set up as a monthly renewal through paypal. Last week as I was coming up for my monthly renewal I decided to switch to a yearly subscription. So I cancelled my monthly and paid the yearly fee through paypal. I did not know that the yearly fee would take a week to clear! All the monthly payments all went through without any problem. Now I am stuck in limbo while paypal takes its time to process my subscription. I am going on a trip to Sacramento on Thursday, and would like to run some queries, but I cannot because I am a basic member now. Why does it take a week to clear the yearly subscription fee? When my premium membership is re-activated, will all my saved queries still be there, or will they have been erased? Is there any way to get back the ability to run queries sooner? This is not the end of the world, but it is quite annoying.
  24. more than likely...perhaps #2 That sounds great! Thanks Dillon Gang!
