Thanks Jeremy, because of this, I had to go and buy a computer. This addiction finally got me to quit procrastinating about it.

Geocoins from Geocaching.com

I know I saw in another thread about custom wooden nickels that were not expensive. It's true, for the coins like Moun10bikes, each die cost aprox 150.oo, whether it's for 1 coin or 1000. -

Three ducks in the top 10 list. What's up with that? Maybe I should have sent out a duck

So what's the big deal? You have 90 other caches to look for. By the time you find those, I'm sure there will be some other new ones to look for.

BTW, island caches are great. I have one on an island in Saginaw bay, no hits since it was hidden in Sept. Found one in Lake Erie on a tiny isl 2 mi from shore. Would like to hide some on the eastern shore of Georgian Bay in Lk Huron. There's over 30,000 islands there, some say 66,000. Great area for paddling. Have fun hiding yours.

Don't worry LF, Mr Science doesn't know what he's talking about. Nat. Parks are off limits, Nat. Forest and BLM land is ok.

I found a cache last Aug. near the base of an abandond lighthouse in Lake Erie. Garlic Island Cache. Nice views from the top.

I have no doubt that he could have walked on hot coals. Been there, done that. Growing up on the shores of Lake Huron, I never wore shoes in the summer.Feet got so tough we did walk through the red coals. Quickly!! Very quickly!!!!

Trash bags for cache in trash out. Compass Bug spray Wallet/purse. Don't leave them in the car. There are threads here about these being stolen from the car while on the hunt.

Office Max and Kinkos do laminating for about 1$ per sheet. You can do several tags for that dollar.
-
Contact the newspapers in the area, tell them about it, maybe take a reporter out on one or two hunts and have them write up an article. You'll get some responses from that.

Watch out, gburgess has a new toy!! I think your going to have a lot of fun with it. It'll be hard to learn all there is to it in 1 night. Best way is to go out and play with it in the wilds. I took a 6 day kayak trip when I got my first GPS, was still learning things on it after I got home. Have fun.

sjs, a great place to camp is at Rattlesnake Conservation area. It's on top of the Niagra escarpment, giving great views to the east. I don't have a phone number to get in contact with, but someone in TO should be able to get it for you.

Should be no problem. They have the copy tag which has the id number on it, plus it should be in their inventory. Does it show that it is in their hands? If so, all they have to do is log a note on the cache site, and drop off the traveler before submitting the log.

How often do you do maintenance on your caches?

Even though you're not supposed to place food in a cache you will have to mark them thusly ["Not a food product. Do Not Eat"] Because as you know there is always someone.... ==================================== As always, the above statements are just MHO. ==================================== "I don't know what happend to Timmy? He just kind of shriviled up!" lol
