  1. The Oklahoma Geogaching group is hosting a weekend event - Spring Fling (GCMQX2) - on May 14th & 15th at Red Rock Canyon State Park near Hinton, OK (about 45 minutes west of Oklahoma City). There will be lots of fellowship and camaraderie (and prizes). This is the 4th annual Spring Fling with this year’s theme being Geocaching Rocks (rock & roll). These events have been very successful and well received in the past with teams from several surrounding states attending. I wanted to post some information about the event here to insure that cachers from neighboring states have an opportunity to check it out. We have several games planned. “King of the Road” - King of the Road is a timed event inspired by the TV show “The Amazing Race” and is designed for two-person teams. At each stop your team must complete a task or stunt to obtain the coordinates or directions to the next stage. “Battle of the Bands” – This is a best of show event. Design, create, and hide your best cache for others to find and judge. “Ringo” - In RINGO (Red Rock Bingo) each participant will be given a blank RINGO card and the coordinates to dozens of film canisters containing numbered stickers. As you find the canisters, you will “fill” your RINGO card with the numbered stickers During the Sunday lunch and awards ceremony, we will play Bingo for prizes. “Cache Around the Park” - For this Kid's Cache event special caches will be hidden throughout Red Rock Park for the younger cachers. Each cache will contain toy prizes (no trading necessary!). Check out the cache page and linked web pages for all of the details.- Spring Fling (GCMQX2). Discounted registration is available through May 1st.
