We had a great day geocaching, Even found a few signature items, Lets get things rolling, with all the folks who have looked at these posts and yet no one joins in? ANY input is better than none.

"In other words, casual cachers or intrusive caches in Utah have the potential to harm the sport region/state wide." Merriam-Webster put the casual label on us and your post labeled us with the potential to harm. I don't offend that easily, just responding to your post. I understand and agree with your concern though.

I am curious as to how I and my family are a danger to Utah Geocaching by participating as a casual cacher? I work in an us versus them environment and there is always an ability to negotiate a positive result for all interested parties. Myself and others I know do not have a problem with organizing, but are unable to participate in any other way than as a "casual cacher".

I believe that the reluctance of people to speak out about this proposed concept may stem from wandering into unfamiliar territory. I have a lot of dfferent thoughts about the organization, but one I would stray from for now is paying membership. A "membership log" should suffice until such a time as a propsed fee for service agreement can be negotiated (at future meetings). Just responding with my "two cents" in trying to get the discussion started as requested by cach-u-nuts.

We finally got Ramblin Rovers E-mail, Had a few questions about how all this works and what effects it has for us casual cachers, and also the fact that we have younger children. We work weekends so we have schedule conflicts with a Saturday middle of the day get together. We are interested in hearing how all of the organization comes together and we will look for future post.

We just returned from So. Cal and Nevada, they have members only caches that you and I are not allowed to even participate in. There are also womens only caches. So, I don't understand why the negative determination in this intance.
