  1. I'd like to get one of the fall ones if anyone manages to get an extra (unless I can mange to get lucky and order one on the site?). I'd make a good trade for it anyways.
  2. There's a locationless cache setup to document where the moon trees are, so if you need coordinates, check here. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=34256 Sadly, it seems Minnesota has no moon trees....
  3. actually when I read the topic I was going to say it depends on weither you want the cache to stay in the matrix or not
  4. I figured I'd give it a go, but only 1 coin a month, as I feel the trade value just isn't there, cause anyone that wants one will just buy in, like every other geocoin out there Probably why I have a few extra coins that I can't find trades for, everyone that wanted ones I have already has the coins themselves. I think it will be interesting to see if these coins all get their own icons, or if it will just be generalized under 1 "Geocoinclub Geocoin" heading. If they all get their own, that's a lot of new icons, if not, I sense a decline in subscription renewals.
  5. Locals only? Doh! Well add me to the trade list too, let me know what you're interested in and I'll let ya know if I got it.
  6. nice idea. maybe that'd be contest worthy?
  7. I don't like to have to pay to list my coins. agreed. I pay enough for the coins and shipping and everything else....
  8. Whoohoo! I need to drop by the post office in a day or two, I'll get that vacman coin in the mail to you.
  9. I was looking at a few of the MIGO coins, but considering how scarce the seasonal ones are, I'm not sure if I'll ever see one, even if I had a personal coin (hoping to sometime). Now that I've heard the new ones will be tracked via gc.com. I'd like to get one of those, but MIGO's site isn't listing any for sale. Anyways, I'd entertain any offers for the newer MIGO coins (I have a traveltags trackable one). I'll post my updated trade list this evening.
  10. mmm I have one extra (not silver)... trade perhaps?
  11. count me in for a couple coins. As far as designing, does anyone know if there's a state association for North Dakota? Gotta be some cachers there with an interest. Otherwise, I'm from Minnesota myself, which is connected to the state, and I guess if there's a need to help design a coin, I'd be help out.
  12. very nice. Install if greasemonkey was a little kluge, but all in all, once it was up and running it works well. Might want to let people know where to look for the link, it's near the top of the page under the cache coordinates.
  13. I knew it was closed. I had a couple of pictures I thought might make good entries, but I decided against it, as there's tons of better photos out there than I've captured. I'll post a couple this evening though, just to show them, maybe someone will find them interesting.
  14. 16609.6mi on my backpack Of course it helps that I've been back and forth to seattle a couple times, and on a California roadtrip back home to St Paul, MN.
  15. A bit north of the cities here and we'd be doing the same thing (never see that much snow in the metro, guess the heat shield works). That's it, I gotta try caching in Alaska someday
  16. got them here in St Paul, Minnesota today too. Excellent coins, the detail is very fine. I believe the closest coin that can be compared to it would be the greenman one, but even that isn't a fair comparison. Lol, the pioneer not only has a shovel, but a pickaxe too! Wonder what kinda cache he's lookin for Probably the precious metal kind...
  17. If I could get a couple, I'd buy them. I'm afraid I'm a bit far away to attend the event though.
  18. Each Wal-Mart I visited only seemed to have 1 I've been to 3 or 4 walmarts and have only run across one. I'm thinking they only get 1 or two in their boxes of assorted toy cars, perhaps the amount of them available at walmart was affected by the jeep contest? Other cachers buying them, ebay opportunists sensing they would sell, etc...
  19. and here I thought geofoul was a new term granted to those times when you open an old cache and get a whiff of that musty mildewy smell....
  20. You've got mail! I'll trade for one, if I made it in the 1st 20.
  21. count me in for some, course I'm part of a coin group, they'll automatically buy em anyway and I'll get some that way I doubt I should be giving any suggestions on designs, but the wizard of oz comes to mind... lol
  22. I guess I'm not sure of your question. The Rino series GPSrs come with built in 2 way radios, that also alow you to report your position to other Rino GPSrs. Aside from that fact, I believe they use the same type GPS receiver as most of the garmin models use, and therefore they're no better or worse than another GPS in the same receiver family.
  23. I received a Rubicon brothers coin as a trade today. Just had to say the 3D effect on the jeep (non color side) is amazing! I'm very glad I have one.
