  1. I'm not super active at caching anymore, but still occasionally find one when out and about. Anyway, I've been caching since 2004, but when I click on my finds under my profile and go to the earliest page possible, it stops at 2010. It's on page 20, so I'm wondering if there is a 20 page limit on what you can see? That would be kind of sad, because I'd love to go back and look at some of those cache pages. I know they're almost all archived, so it's also the only way to find most of them.
  2. Thanks, Running an old pq and modifying it for my current needs worked. GC should have fixed this long ago and being a weekend shouldn't matter. They should have someone on-call for these situations. Shame on you groudspeak. This no way to treat premium members as we are paying for pq service. I was able to download the loc file from the query preview and load it in my gps, but without the gpx file, I can't put the cache info on my geosphere app. I'm hoping the query will run eventually, and I'll be able to get that info tonight, when I'm back on wifi. Yes, I am using antiquated technology (no smart phone).
  3. I am leaving on a road trip early this morning and tried to run a PQ last night (twice) and this morning, with no success.
  4. I just tried pulling up the map to look for caches along a country road I'm traveling on tomorrow morning and there are no caches showing up on the map - even in town where there are thousands. It was working a few hours ago...
  5. What puzzle? The coordinates of the first cache are written in plain text on the cache page (at least for tozainamboku). (oops!. I'll probably get punished for the violation of the TOUs now). I think this series looks like a lot of fun, and I wish I lived closer. I'm not sure many people looked at the link, because everyone seems to be posting mainly based on the OP's first comments on the cache. Reading the cache page, it doesn't really say the coords to the next cache will be in the previous, but to pay attention to details along the way that you may need later. It could be the coords are in each stage, but not necessarily. Either way, I don't see a reason for these not to be published, but there may be other problems we don't know about.
  6. Just be careful with certain ideas like this one... As Im reading it Im thinking "this will certainly be mistaken for a PIPE BOMB some place!!!" This would be horrible for YOU and for the GEOCACHING COMMUNITY so please consider all angles before buying and creating cache containers!! I think he was convinced of that 5 years ago, when he first posted.
  7. I have done several multis in my area (many by the same owner) which have at least 3 stops and may be miles apart. They were actually what got me hooked on caching. They usually also involved clever puzzles at some stages, which sometimes required a stop at a library to look things up. (We didn't have smart phones then). They're not for everybody, but some of them are awesome!
  8. Ooo, I'll keep an eye open for that one. If I go visit my parents, I have to drive all the way across on I-70. Oh, and "Go K-State!"
  9. I think that sentence is probably less crystal clear in practice than many would like it to be. I agree. I generally post a DNF if I've looked and not found, but I also cache in a group, so I often let there be one DNF from the group rather than 3 of us posting one and putting those 3 logs as 3 out of the 5 logs downloaded in a PQ.
  10. Okay, I change my answer. Let Charlotte live. Just out of curiosity, do wasps and hornets perform any useful biological function? I ask because I have a deep seated fear/hatred of them and never hesitate to obliterate them in a diabolical fashion. Bees I'm cool with- except carpenter bees as they are chewing holes in the house, but otherwise I've been known to pet a bee while it was gathering pollen. Yes, many wasps and hornets prey on flies or other pesty insects, and most are quite calm, especially away from their nests.
  11. I'm going with KC for high as well, and Buffalo for low. Total: 56
  12. Hmm, not when I've heard it. Rhymes more with dough.
  13. I finally got mine activated, but I accidentally deleted a couple of your instruction emails, so I'm not sure I got all the info on the coin pages. Email sent to you CacheAddict.
  14. Ordered 2. Fun idea! I can't bear to release my blue butterfly that I already purchased (especially after my Blue Morpho disappeared), but it should be easier when they'll never be in my hands.
  15. I take pictures of them... I have used the stick waving method to keep from walking into webs, though.
  16. I personally would say it is a multi cache, since the coords on the page take you to a stage of the cache. I've done numerous multi caches (mostly by the same hider) that involved puzzles at various stages, but were still called multi caches. Sounds fun!
  17. If you read his post he said 2 of the nearest 50 were not micros. If that is the general ratio in his area it doesn't leave much geocaching for him to do. I guess, but from my house, my nearest 50 only takes me a mile and a half from home. Could be less dense there, but I bet Orlando is pretty full of caches, too. Also, getting out of town is a a big help - a large percentage of in-town caches are micros here, too.
  18. Great shelter! Thanks for posting this, tsun! I voted and got the pig.
  19. The Morpho ones were beautiful, and mine survived a little while in the wild before being "captured". I'll be getting one of these and it will stay with me.
  20. Beautiful! I'd buy one. By the way I got my Honu turtle today - it is so pretty! Thanks! I was going to post this thank you in the March Madness thread, but it's closed.
  21. I have a 2006 Tank Hounds, but it is not trackable - did they have trackable ones, too?
  22. Hey, at least I'll get a coin out of the deal.
