I have a Magellan Meridian Gold GPS and am looking into getting an SD card since I have found some that aren't too expensive, but I have 2 questions... 1. With the extra memory, is the GPS able to store more waypoints or is the maximum still 500? 2. Do all kinds of SD cards work with the GPS or does it have the be the Magellan brand? Thanks.

I am currently 17 and have been geocaching since Jan 04 when I was 16. It's great, only problem was it took a little while to convince my parents that it was safe, they still don't like me caching on my own though so I have gotten some of my friends into it as well. I was never a scout and wasn't into hiking.

The weirdest thing I found in a cache has been some fish flavored candy. As for ourside of a cache, I have found a bong, a dead squirl, and some other dead, large animal when caching in a mountainous area of Vail.

The 3 of us are all 16. We think we are one of the youngest group of "cachers", but we are fairly new to the sport, but we are obsessed.
