Geocaching.com site update June 9th
Spatial Distortion replied to OpinioNate's topic in Geocaching HQ communications
i have an existing cache gc1ndhy, and an a href statement then an img src statement. the system keeps putting the </a> directly after the a href and not allowing me to put it in its correct spot after the img src. Update: i deleted all the code and saved it as blank and redid it and it now works. Go figure -

Here is another problem with the fixed width. When looking at my uploaded field notes, the image is scrunched together. And if you miss clicking on "Compose Log" you can very easily click on "Delete Log" Thus losing a found cache. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_ipvXAnk8Swc/Tdkl4PBwE3I/AAAAAAAAADQ/YNi2tP1wZgA/s144/width%20problem.jpg -
have you done a thousands steps? its a great cache that involves climbing over 1000 steps up a mountain. http://coord.info/GC59AF it has a great view from the top of the mountain.

Ok, I'm not one to complain, and I'm not. I just want to know why puzzle cache icons on the map now show as and orange question mark? And not blue? --------------- ok I answered my own question. The orange is for PMO caches. ----------------- IMHO thats just confusing. -

ok, NOT OK for days i have been trying to fix the display issue with my profile. my profile contains VALID tables and images. i have tried in vein to work with your new upgrade design. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE At least put the profiles back. A lot of users put hours and days and weeks and months into thier profiles. At least put the profiles back. -

I must say - I'm all for change. But The transparency on the cache page should be an option. The fixed width has got to go, along with the resizing of images. Non of my tables work any more on any cache page. Not to mention a lot of hard work that I had done on my profile. Everyone I speak to that uses tables are also not happy because their tables aren't working either. I understand the maps issues, and thats OK. After all they are still in beta and I'm sure will be fixed. Lastly, thank you guys for all that you do, you guys are the best -

It is open after dark. and it is relatively safe. i have been there at night many times by myself. However I would recommend if doing it at night to have a couple of others with you. As always in caching, if you get there and don't feel safe, then don't do it. -

Hi deb3day, the oldest cache i know of is in NJ. GCC8 it was placed Hidden : 11/25/2000. and there is a birthday bash event for the cache on Sunday, 21 November 2010 GC2H9WB. they will get together for some cake and then make a pilgrimage to the oldest cache in NJ. its a long mountain hike from parking to the cache itself. Which is probably why the cache has lasted so long. I am trying to get a ride to the event on Sunday the 21st and subsequently the the cache. if you want company let me know, i'd be glad to go with ya.

Yesterday I finished off the series down at Boat House Row and Kelly Drive area. What a great area. I took so many pictures. The area is so beautiful and full of history. It was so very cool. It was a great fall day to be out on a bike and caching. My hats off to SRT Association Just some of the cool stuff from the SRT Trail. -
