Yes, you can have a cache un-archived. Just post a reviewer note (just like logging a cache - just choose the "post a note to reviewer) and explain the situation. Always include the GC# when communicating with a reviewer. It simplifies the reviewers life hope that helps. Gary

Your exactly correct. I created a shortcut (before i got your instructions, but thanks for them) and the 1st time it doesnt work, but tap on it a 2nd time and it works. Thanks for the insight.

I have installed 5.10 several times now. And every time the install goes fine, but out in the field is the problem. I found 20 caches the other day and when I turned off the GPS, all caches were gone from my "found" list on the GPS. Yet, all the caches are listed in the geocache_visits.txt file. And even though they are listed in the geocache_vists.txt file they won't upload thru gc.com field notes. So i had to copy the file to my computer then upload that file to gc.com and only then would it upload and show the found caches so i could log them.

I prefer http://geocheck.org/ as well. Offers many more options.

Hello, There are caches in libraries. Usually a puzzle cache where you need to search for clues or something along those lines. Of course the library works need to be aware of it and permission is needed by them to place the cache. I looked at you geocaching profile and see that you have no "finds" you really should find a bunch of caches before you try and hide a cache, just so you get a feel for what a good hide is. And since you are asking about putting a cache in a building, you should seek those out as well to see how they work. Hope that helps

As I recall when i changed my username long ago CO's will not delete your logs. and i think gc.com and the forums are connected. Meaning they use the same username.

honestly, i have been running pq's for 5 years now. i have then set up correctly. i am hoping it was just a glitch. thanks to everyone who responded.

No No No! I did my PQ (which should have included the above mentioned cache included in it. i went to go do the cache and it wasn't on my gps. I found the cache anyway because i was with another cacher. so, i get home, check GSAK and the cache isn't in the database either. I went and checked my PQ settings. They are all fine. But for some reason this cache, and maybe others, did not download.

what is your point? yes, i have my pq set up for caches i have NOT found.
