  1. Thanks for all of the replies. I didn't look at them that close when I retrieved them Sunday but I haven't seen anything that resembles blood on them. I have to say it's the most interesting find I've made to date
  2. I have a hotmail account and just forwarded an email with an attachment. Have her follow these steps: 1 - Log into hotmail 2 - Select the Mail tab 3 - Click on the email with the attachment 4 - In the top part of the email just below the subject she should see the attachment listed 5 - Click on the name of the attachment. 6 - The attachment will be scanned for viruses. 7 - On the page where it shows the scan results She should see two options "Download File" and "Cancel" These are listed on the left side of the screen just below her hotmail email address. 8 - Click Download File 9 - Select Save in the dialogbox 10 - Pick a location to save the file 11 - Once the transfer is complete log out of hotmail 12 - Drag and drop the zip file onto the GSAK icon and off she goes.
  3. Please email me your list as well. As far as activated coins I read that one of the new updates allows for TBs and geocoins to be adopted just like caches can so transferring activated coins should not be an issue. Tell ya what, send me one of the coins you want to get rid of and I'll go through the adoption process for it
  4. The worst find I have is one where the cache was basically sitting out in the open, water logged and used an old discarded shoe as cover. I did manage to find a dry enough section of the log book to sign though .
  5. It's possible the first hunters didn't see the sign with hours or it's possible they saw it and chose to ignore it. Since you appear to be local to the hider how about contacting him/her and offering some assistance with updating the cache page with park hours and it seems, from reading the logs, that the coords may be off some. So you missed a FTF on a cache, big whoop, there will be other opportunities.
  6. When I saw CC Dave my first thought was Concealed Carry Dave.
  7. Ah, could one of the mods please move this to the CITO forum..... :) I'm sure it's been asked millons of times but with search being broken and all how do you officially prounce CITO? Sit - toe or Sigh - Toe or See Eye Tee Oh
  8. I have the 60c and have had it for over a year and as much as I would love to have one of the new X models I can't seem to justify it to myself and if I can't do that how am I supposed to get my wife to understand . The only real plus for me would be the new sirf3 chip because I only load a few maps onto the 60C I have the entire southeast USA loaded onto my 2610 so I'm good for getting to the cache areas. Edit: removed bit that made me sound really stupid
  9. I'm happy to read about a Pocket PC version. I used CacheMate until my M105 died and I ended up with a PocketPC. Since it's been a while since I've used CacheMate I can't think of anything that was missing at the time I used it. I would be willing to help you test as soon as you are willing to release a version. I do software development for a living and have gotten pretty good at breaking things .
  10. Something I just noticed is when you view one of your own TBs it shows the 6 digit secret number on the page. That's sweet!

    Rant

It happens. Take a deep breath and go find a cache with a TB in it. Some lucky person will thank you for moving it along.
  12. Hey Raine, While you're in decrypt mode on the printable version of the cache pages it also requires a postback to decrypt the hint.
  13. Absolutely. Speaking of which if a log entry is encrypted and you select the decrypt option it does generate a postback. Perhaps in another update Jeremy can use JavaScript to decrypt the logs without a postback. What browser and OS are you using? Internet Explorer 6 Windows 2003 Server but I see the same behavior on IE 6 and Windows XP Home. To duplicate what I saw follow these steps: 1 - View this cache page Forest Of The Flint 2 - Click on the link to view all logs 3 - Scroll down to my log on Dec 4, 2004. 4 - Click the decrypt hyperlink. The page should reload instead of decrypting the log entry on the client.
  14. Another StreetPilot 2610 user here. I love mine. I use it to get me to the cache location and then the hand held out in the woods. Regarding using GSAK with the 2610 - currently the two do not talk for some reason so what I do is export the GPX file from GSAK and then use MapSource to transfer the waypoints to the 2610. If I could ever do without my 2610 long enough I'd send it up to Robert so he can work with it enough so that GSAK can communicate with it.
  15. Absolutely. Speaking of which if a log entry is encrypted and you select the decrypt option it does generate a postback. Perhaps in another update Jeremy can use JavaScript to decrypt the logs without a postback.
  16. Yeah, I know but I plan on releasing more. I can't imagine the amount of email you get from all of the TBs you have.
  17. I love the new changes. Everything seems to work great in Internet Destroyer
  18. I like it. What I do find interesting is that geocoins and jeep TBs are included in the total count. I hadn't been including them in my counts but I guess I'll start including them now. I only have 95 items. I'm a slacker compared to you Snoogans
  19. Button location. I don't like the buttons being above the map. I prefer them at the bottom like I have on my 60C.
  20. Yes. by listing the secret number it is possible for anyone to log the travel bug even if they didn't actually find it. Also when taking pictures make sure the number isn't shown.
  21. Jeremy, Even though you're wrapping the comments in CDATA tags in the KML file some other characters are causing issues. Take a look at the KML file generated for Who am I (TBGM02). If you view the KML file with a program like notepad and scroll down to line 104 which is the 1/2/2005 log for for Famara you'll find an accented character in the log. That's causing the file to generate an error on Google. The words causing the problems are "We´ve" and "Nekhbets"
  22. I'm glad I could help. I will post something in the gc.com web site section letting Jeremy know there's some issues with the .kml files. With luck he can search and replace those special characters before creating the .kml file. For now though you will have to edit the file unless Famara updates his log.
  23. I would like something I could put up that says "Out geocaching. In case of an emergency call:" and then have a spot where I could write in my cell phone number.
