  1. BZ and Hey Now! to Team Adelos on 1 :P:P:P ! caches!!!

    Way 2 Go!!!!

Congratulations on reaching that first big milestone of 1000 finds. I was trying to figure out why I haven't made it there yet and then noticed you have found 138 puzzle caches and I have 20. It pays to be smart. Now on to 2000. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!

  2. :anibad: I do have empty ammo cans for ya'll.

If your giving them up, I'll take a couple off of your hands!

 Yep, I'm giving them up and have plenty. I'll bring some Sat! :P

I'd like an ammo can John.

 Ok Dick, I'll have him put them in his suitcase when he comes home in March!!! How many ya want???? r/ jodi

Just kidding Jodi, I just wanted to mess with John. It's been awhile. I think I have 12 ammo cans in my garage right now.

  3. If anyone is interested in the Spring 50-mile Rosarito to Ensenada bike ride, now is a good time to break out the bike and hit some hills! I'm signed up.

    It's on Saturday, April 21st.

Now that is something to think about. Maybe I should get some road tires for my mountain bike.

Or splurge and get a road bike :huh: .

I haven't decided if I'm taking the heavy Mtn bike or my relatively light hybrid. It may depend on what "lostguy" decides.

You mean like deciding between a Harley or a Kawasaki?!?

:huh: Ya wanna come Flagman? I know that fancy Gary Fischer Tassajara will do just fine! I now know where all the caches are hidden too! And Chuy! knows where the BEST tacos are at the start..and the best tacos at the finish. They really did wait for me too...I usually arrived as they were signing the log so it worked out perfect..plus the FRS radios were handy! r/jl

I seem to remember some lady passing me as we climbed El Tigre. Of course there were truckloads of folks that passed me going up that hill. My only glory was I didn't get off the bike and push but it was tempting.

 John and i rode our MTBs. It was a blast, except I couldn't keep up with Downhill Dick on the long hills..and I didn't see much of Chuy! Wanna ride with me??? r/jodi

What are you talking about, WE ALL waited for you at the top of the climbs  .

We all had Mtn bikes last Sep. It was the first time for me and it was a much softer ride than my hybrid, but that dual suspension mtn bike weighs a ton  .

I'll ride whatever bike you guys decide on. Mountain bike was a little more comfortable but road bike is a little faster. Slow is good. Should we all sign up for the 5:30 bus again. Worked out pretty good last time.
  5. Lostguy

your right they have Ammo cans all over the place ???? but I have only seen the larger ones.

    Chris TEAM DUCKIT

Just ask John and he will grab them for you. I picked up 10 just last week.

  6. I just seen an add on "craigs list San Diego"

this guy has ammo cans for sale for $10:00 you get 5 can's

that is a great deal he lives in Imperial Beach

    Chris TEAM DUCKIT

If you happen to like the smaller narrow type ammo cans then Border Parts in Spring Valley has them for $2.50 each. The coords for the place are N32.44.969 X W117.00.083. John is the guy I talk to there. I saw alot of other larger ammo cans on the property but never asked the price for those.

  7. BZ's to GoBolts! on 3600!

    BZ's to Tombmaker on 2700!

    BZ's to Trailgators on 2000!

and BZ's to whomever I may have missed!!

<_<;)Wow!! Look at those numbers!!! Awesome job!! Havin Fun?

A big congratulations to all those mentioned above and to Jahoadi and john for going over 3000 yesterday. I wonder which one of them made the actual 3000th grab since they were both in different areas. My guess is John will take credit. Congrats guys.

  8. A big Bravo Zulu to Duncan! on hitting 5000 today!!!

He kept saying, "gotta catch Marty, gotta catch Marty..." all day--I have no idea what he meant...

PS Haven't been here for a long time , so congrats to anyone else who's hit milestones in the last few months!

    Congrats D! thumb.gif

A BIG congratulations Duncan. 5000 is quite a large number. I should be there if I live another 10-20 years. Now go ahead and catch that lady in front of you.

  9. Ginger! and I will be going out Sat or Sun am (6a) to finish up Hollenbeck (3 by CTYankee), McGinty (2 at the peak on NE side by Travelita), and/or Sycuan if I can figure out them puzzles. I'm not sure which day yet, but, if anyone is interested, let me know.

Edit: will make it tomorrow and possibly on Sun before the game. Meet 0630 at Honey Springs pkg area for Hollenbeck; then McGinty. I will save the west side of McGinty for a night hike in the next two weeks or so.

I need a few of the Hollenbeck caches and a few of the McGinty caches on the east side so I will meet you and Ginger at the Honey Springs parking area at 6:30am.

  10. :laughing::blink:Congratulations to FISNJACK on 2000!!

What an adventure he had (it's nice to know you can call Chuy! for a tow-line as well as a life-line huh?)

    :huh::P BZ, FJ! :huh::P

    :) Woohoooo!!!!! Congrats Fisnjack on 2,000!!! :D

B)B) Way to go Fisnjack :D:D

Great Job Fisnjack and also to Chuy! for the assist.
  11. These photos came to my attention under the heading of "When Bicycle Helmets Don't Make Sense..." :D

Another recipient commented that the heading should be changed to:"When Bicycle Helmets Don't Make Sense... :D:D:D

Couldn't make out the faces but one of them is probably "Lance" from the Bradybunchoys.

  12. Thanks Duncan! I've been looking at some of your puzzle caches today as some are near where we are staying .

I've not heard of Sweetwater Reservior - do you have a GC code of a nearby cache so I can take a look please?

MTRP is definitely on the list for the trip too - looks my kind of thing but am a little cautious about a lot of steep terrain as our 8 year old is not a fan of too much uphill. It's hard to get a good feel for the terrain without actually being there so maybe I'm worrying unduly?

Sweetwater Res. definetly has a bunch of caches but I think it has even more hills.

Why not share your experiences with Tommy for us HazzMatt?? You sound like you are a fan you, must have had a good encounter??? Or did you move one of his great TBs? Share with us why YOU are such a fine supporter of this great contributor!!

Possibly YOU found one of Tommy's caches (before some JERK muggled it???) Share your experiences with Tommy, HazzMatt! Let the cache community know how well YOU appreciated Tommy's great work!!

    (before some JERK muggled it???)

I'm sorry, what was all that ssstuff you posted about being polite and friendly in the forums?

BLUE DEUCE - 7272 forum posts. 274 caches found, 8 hidden of which 5 are archived. Go caching please. The only email I ever received after finding a TB was a TT TB and he thanked me for picking it up and again when I placed it in a cache. Seems like we need a few more cachers such as him and less folks who sit around all day posting notes in forums. This will be my one and only post in this forum. Hopefully TT will find another hobby he enjoys.

  14.:laughing::unsure: John headed out to Fallon today with my new FJ and a trailer and said to say "See Ya Later" to all of you. He'll be back for meetings and schools and long weekends, but if any of you are ever near Reno or Tahoe look him up. I'm sure there will be new caches placed up there soon!! r/ Jahoadi n John

Was the trailer full of ammo cans, Loc n Loc's and micro containers? I hope this doesn't mean that your streak is going to be coming to an end. Take care John, you'll be missed by all.

  15. Just doing an informal poll as to how people calibrate the compass on their GPS. How many of you stand in the middle of a public place and turn slowly for two complete circles or the other option being to turn the GPS slowly for 2 complete turns while it is resting in your hand? I personally am one of the fools who read the GPS telling me to turn 2 full circles and did just that. It worked but it looks rather silly. Tell me I'm not the only one. Please.

    Kwver, Quit laughing.

  17. What happened to redstareg and cegrube, they both seem to have disappeared from sight ??:(

I talked to Carl AKA Cegrube tuesday night. He has been working on is house and his daughter and grandson where visiting. No info on Redstareg.

I emailed Redstareg about a month ago to see if all was well and why he hadn't been out recently. He responded that all was well but he had been very busy with work but was going to be back at it again soon.

  18. If you haven't seen it before. The Senior Sleuths are on Cox Cable (channel 4) with a story about geocaching between now and 8:30pm.

    That was cool! :(

The story that was right before it was pretty interesting too. :surprise::huh:

Yes. I liked the story that was one just before it also. Certainly kept my attention. I wouldn't mind doing a little volunteer work for the company.

  19. I got my Unite for Diabetes TB in the mail today. It's trying to get to Yasynuvata, Ukraine. One obstacle that I can see is that the nearest cache to Yasynuvata is 309 miles away. :)
I got mine too and it is supposed to get to Xiongyue, China. :)

At least yours has a cache that is only 204 miles away: Moon View

    Lucky me! dancingbw4.gif

Mine is supposed to go to Yogyakarta, Indonesia and I can't figure out how close that is to the nearest cache but I'm only going to move it a couple of miles and then the geocaching community will figure out how to get it there.

  20. Is anyone available for a MTB to Gratefuldad116 and "Lostguy"'s new Hollenbeck caches on Sat am?( early-ish) I have a brand new beautiful blue MTB and I need someone to go with me. John is laid up after his toe surgery so he can't go and I can't go alone. My old MTB is available for use. I'm really bad at biking so it's a beginner ride. These caches aren't up the really steep hills either ( I don't think).

I would have joined you just to see your new bike but I have to work Saturday. Have a good time.

  21. I know this i a rather old gpsr but if anyone has one and would like to sell it for arround $50 please post here. Looking for a GPSr for friend, if anyone has a similar unit and would go for arround $50 or cheaper please post. Please have mercy, extremely low income level.

I was looking in a catalog for for Heartland America and they have factory serviced Magellan 200's with free shipping for $69.00. Not $50 but still a pretty good price. www.heartlandamerica.com. Good luck
