And get some maps other than just US... I have a Delorme PN-20, and very happy with it. Could someone tell me (aside from price) the differences (or upgrade) seen on the PN-40? Is it worth the upgrade at this time? And if not this GPS brand/model, which one would you upgrade to, and why.

Thank you all for your input. It makes sense. But, in response to the car makers and VINs, some manufacturers (unfortunately) still use easily confused characters. BTW, you can also anagram the missing letters from GCid in a common man's name... Cheers

I know there are a few letters not used in the GC ID names. Which ones are they?

I found this method to work when no other tools available. Hold the end of the open micro that has the log in it in your dominant hand between index and thumb, then slap to heel of that hand against the heel of the other hand a few times, and the log will come out. If not all the way, at least enough so you can grab it. Just try it, its easier than you think. Cheers

I know of one that had a real stuffed squirrel inside a log, placed to look straight at you when you moved the cover aside. I actually jumped back, and used a stick to get it out. Squirrels can be very nasty when disturbed...I laughed about it all the way to my truck...

This idea is not new, I actually know of an active site in Eureka, California that has it. But I wouldn't think any birdied would wanna set up in there, not in the one I found anyway.... Still a cool idea.
