  1. It's a clear example of pork barrel politics and it is not fair towards the cachers having to apply to busybody rules. As said in http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/breaking-your-own-rules/, these need to be archive asap.
  2. As mentioned in http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/batteries-included/, I use GP Recyko batteries and still happy about them
  3. There are still dropped stitched to fix before speaking about having things back to normal, as reported in http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/certainly-no-sigar/

  7. I'm very satisfied abouut muy Fenix LED torch. See also http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/nighthawks/
  8. As mentioned in http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/batteries-included/, I’m rather happy about these GP Recyko batteries. These rechargeable combine the benefits of Alkaline and rechargeable batteries. The most important benefit is that they retain their power and don’t loose power already when they get out of the charger
  9. There are plenty of coordinate checkers with plenty of features (see also http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/not-evincive/) so what would be the added value of having one the GC site?
  10. I'm not arguing in favour of different languages, but personalised date/time functions in order to showing in the local format would be more than nice. The most 'problematic' is the fact that coordinates have the N/W quarter as default, which is annoying. As mentioned in this blog post it's about time that one start to learn that 3/4 of the rest of the world does NOT have the N/W coordinate quarter as default.
  11. If that's a fact, why are there that many users of GC Tour and other GreaseMonkey scripts then? Isn't that a bit of a contradiction: seeking a change without altering anything? Anyway, I think I've cleared out enough my point of view. In order to prevent endless discussions, I rest my case.
  12. I'm really glad to hear that. It would be nice to see some official statement about this over here and in this forum thread in order to let know people that the 'Illegal' overstatement is nothing to worry about
  13. GC Tour doesn't take any data to use it somewhere else and doesn't change anything on the advertising, but enables you to retrieve and show in a more user friendly manner. If sincerely hope that the aim of GS is not to make navigation, user experience as such difficult, annoying, ... that one gets the most pageviews of advertisement. If advertising is a concern, one should prohibit the use of Firefox or any browser which allows you to block advertisements too. Same thing for PQs since no advertising involved. As said in earlier blogs, I don't mind paying a higher PM fee as long as I get something considerable in return.
  14. What's that definition of "scraping" anyway. I read in this forum post that the use of GC Tour is illegal since it uses information from gc.com. It seems to be forbidden to provide a better user interface than the site does.
  15. I've written my point of view in this blog post

  17. All depends a bit on your needs. Do you want touch screen or not? How much money do you want to spend? Are things like a camera, Wherigo, paperless caching a must? I did a small review on a Dakota 20: http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/cold-knight/
  18. As mentioned in my blog, the problem here are the criteria for a good cache. What is the definition of a good cache? What one finds a good cache, can be useless for another.

  24. My first cache hunt was nearly a year ago as part of a team event: http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/first-geocache-hunt/ It took another fortnight before I started geocaching on my own: http://searchjaunt.idizaai.be/groen-lubbee...-geboortecache/
