  1. Which ones of these are rare? The GAS 2007 sold out upon release and has been sought after ever since. When I sold my last one, I had three people from the Medicine Hat area contact me to see if I had any more (I didn;t think I did at the time), so I know that even those that live in the area are unable to get their hands on them. The Shark Attack coin is also rarely up for sale anywhere (as far as I can tell) and in general, Landsharkz coins seem to be sought after. HTH Miles/..
  2. <links removed by moderator> All unactivated, mint. Very sought after - this may be your last chance to own a complete set of unactivated Lost and Found tokens and tag. The Founders tags are also unactivated and very sought after! Grab them quick!
  3. http://www.ebay.com/sch/milesfinlay/m.html?item=111058009240&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 Landsharkz, Gizmo, The Hunt, Alberta GAS 2007, Calgary Parks, DEFCON - all unactivated, all mint!

  5. This may interest some of you: <sale link removed by moderator> Thanks Miles/..
  6. Holy Hannah!!! I forgot I made labels in those days! What kind of photographic memory do you have?!! Here's my LEGO MocPages: LEGO Miles/..
  7. I've held onto the most meaningful coins in my collection and am selling the rest as they are just collecting dust here - the money raised will fund my LEGO extravagance! I used to design geocoins, was always given samples of the coins I worked on, and I used to trade the spares for coins that I found interesting (only did trades in person at Geocoin meets), and even then, I really wasn't into Geocoins as much as anyone else - I prefer the fun of actual geocaching to collecting coins. Having said that, I built up quite a good collection of impressive coins and I am glad to be sharing that with others now, through ebay. You should get an ebay account - you never know when the need will arise! Best wishes Miles/..
  8. Lackey coins also up for grabs! Lackey coin 10 years Lackeys 2009 + POGS!
  9. Two Volunteer Reviewer coins (2005 & 2008) now listed on ebay. Both are activated and owned by myself (the seller). Both have zero mileage, except the logs that show they were gifted to me by a VR. Both in mint condition and would look great in your collection! I will adopt the coin(s) over to the buyer once the auction has ended and payment has been received. 2005 2008 Thanks! Miles/..
  10. The Volunteer Reviewer 2008 coin will be relisted!
  11. Hey folks! I've put my geocoin collection (most of it anyway, I've held back my personal one-offs as mementoes...): Link to one of my ebay sales You can click on the link to see one coin, then click on "See other items" on the upper right side of the screen to see my other auctions/sales there (everything is currently a geocoin or similar). Coins have been selling fast and well, but not sure if everyone here, who is interested in buying coins, is able to stay up-to-date on ebay activity. Some only have a couple of days left before the auction ends. Best wishes all!! Miles/..
  12. A few updates: The CCARS09 website is here: http://peanutbutterbreadandjam.webs.com/ 1) The stash of hidiness goodies in Calgary South is now depleted of all supplies except the cache decals. 2) The prizes page on the website has been updated to show all prizes. A big thank you to all our sponsors for their generosity and support of this event! 3) New online banners have been created for CCARS09 cache hiders to post on their cache page(s). The banners are shown in the cache description above, and you are welcome to copy the URL for the images and add to your cache listing. Alternatively you may visit the CCARS09 website where you will find ready-made HTML code that you can copy and paste into your cache description text box (make sure it is set to "HTML content") - go to the "Hide" page of the website to find the HTML code. 4) The car flags are on their way! Once we have our hands on them, we will create new stashes. These new stashes will be for cache finders and will contain the CCARS09 Note Cards (for note taking during the 24 hour caching marathon) and the Car Flags. All supplies are FREE of charge but we must insist that you only take one Car Flag per vehicle used during CAR (limited supplies). We will announce on here when the new stashes are in place. Less than 4 weeks to go!!
  13. Event has been published here: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...59-8b77f7306441 This would be a nice day out for anyone in the Calgary or Red Deer areas - there are some great caches in town and the nearby Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World is an automatic magnet for outdoorsy type! See ya there! peanutbutterbreadandjam
  14. Nicely designed cards! But before you print the topo background one for Geolobo - there's a typo that needs to be fixed! (Mountians) And the BlueLady card has a grammatical error - "And geocaching..." Otherwise, good job!
  15. Tomorrow! 9:30am! Great weather still! Early bird draw at 10:00am. Registration over at 10:30am. Cleaning from 10:40 - 12:30pm BIG lunch at 12:30! Prizes and photographs at 1:30pm - 2:00pm! LOTS of prizes! Make this the biggest Calgary event ever! Last year we had 108 people turnout - this year? Who knows? The more people that come - the cleaner the park is, and the least amount of food is leftover! 100lbs of hamburger patties must be eaten! 60 prizes must be won! 8 pop cans must be found! 2 brand new GPS receivers must be taken home! See you there!!
  16. A few more updates on the cache page - here's the juicy ones: Thanks to everlan, we now have two grand prizes - each with a brand new GPSr and some extra goodies!! Weather is still holding out to be a super sunny day! But wear waterproof shoes or sandals as the ground is probably quite damp. We have all the food items we were looking for. Only 3 days away. Starts at 9:30am on Sunday. Early bird prize drawn at 10:00am. See ya there!!
  17. Weather forecast is now 18°C and mainly sunny. Best day of the year so far in more ways than one! Hope to see you there!
  18. Hi folks Here's the event page for the Calgay Area Cacher's Spring 2009 CITO: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...b1-b5eea689770f Weather forecast is for 13°C and mostly cloudy - waaaaaay better than heavy snowfall and freezing sideways rain! We will be cleaning our adopted Edworthy Park and follow up with a BBQ and a fantastic prize draw, with a Garmin Nuvi 550 up for grabs among other prizes! We clean for 2 hours and the event starts at 9:30am. Please post a will attend note on the cache page if you are planning on coming. Hope to see you there! peanutbutterbreadandjam
  19. Miles, thanks for your lovely note. Nobody, absolutely nobody, asks me for stuff more sweetly than you! High sugar content in the ....jam I guess Miss Jenn, I hope it's ok to say that we're happy to bring them in for Canadians by special request only. Canadians... send me a note if you want one, just like Miles did with size and colour. You'd better do it in the next few weeks so we have enough time to get them here and get them out the door to you again before CITO weekend. (The 7th Annual Cache In Trash Out Events are scheduled for May 2nd & 3rd, 2009). Group orders welcome of course. Because I can't provide a direct product link you'll have to Google us... Thanks guys! Order on its way! Miles/..
  20. It appears that Canadians are unable to purchase these new CITO clothing and other items. We cannot purchase directly from Groundspeak and are directed to a Canadian partner retailer. None of those listed are carrying the new items. I guess I'll have to ask a Canadian distributor nicely if they'll consider special-ordering some for me? Miles/..
  21. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I'm starting to have flashbacks about a gang of middle school kids a few towns over tossing film canisters into the bushes of every fast food joint in town, and hiding tupperware containers in front of people's houses in residential neighborhoods. They did however, have GPS's. Or I suspect only one they passed around. 18 Hello Crab Soul The hiding spot you chose was very visible, I am prretty sure I can see it from up here in Canada. Was this the knot you hid the cache in? You have a pretty good spot to hide some type of small cache with a little bit of camo cover tape very close to where you live. Go two blocks east on College and then turn right on to Thornhill, the intersection of Thornhill and Blvd is a nice woody spot free from observers. I can even see where someone dumped some mattresses, perhaps you can pick those up and throw them in the trash while your there? Too cool!! Wicked post! But the hider still needs to get a GPSr.
  22. Event GC1HX82 All are welcome. Fun and frolicking for one and all, family-friendly get-together from 2:00 to 4:00pm on a Sunday afternoon, just before Christmas and you should have all your Xmas shopping done and wrapped by then, right?! (snicker, snicker!) We are also looking for donations of silent auction items (proceeds to the Poppy Fund), door prizes and food items for the snack table. The cache page has more details and will be progressively updated over the next week or so. If you are in the Calgary area we'd love to see you there. We have a large, private, heated, well equipped space rented and hope this will be the Geocaching event of the season, to be remembered for a long time. Best wishes Miles/..
  23. Go to your local public library and search for Letterboxing - and have fun! Spread the word!
  24. I always add a separate Ziploc bag to my caches with a note inside that says it is for trackables - to keep them separate from trade items. That way, you do not have to dig through the clutter to find TBs if that is what you like to do, and it means that less-experienced cachers are less likely to pick up a trackable thinking it is a trade item.
  25. Great answer Hurleyanne - especially as you're in SK... Thanks!
