Oh my god! you've taken my travel bug and didn't follow its' instructions! Wasn't the whole point of travel bugs to be a way of tracking an item to see where it goes? If you stop putting expectations on something as trivial as a TB, it'll go where it needs to. Don't live vicariously through a TB. Just let it go. If you're worried about it, you shouldn't have bought one and sent it on a mission.

Is there a way to search for caches based upon cities? I thought this used to be a feature, but can no longer find how to do it. any suggestions?

Even though I don't like micros, I just found Gaiter Bait. It is one of those ridiculous micros.

If they are really cheesy, why not remove them and the they will get archived hopefully?

Can't you hike it in a straight line? If you're a hiker, make your own trail to the cache. Bushwhacking is great exercise. It seems " as the crow flies" is your distance.

Do you think micros should be discouraged? Isn't this game about finding a box of stuff in the woods? It seems there is a trend to find or make smaller and smaller containers which will only hold a log. It's getting ridiculous to find these micro/nano caches. I think some of the ideas for micros are very original (hollowed out bolts, pinecones, fake branches, etc.) but no place to hide schwag just plain sucks. It seems just like all the ridiculous virtuals awhile back. Now they are discouraged too. How about stealthy hiding of normal sized caches?
