My views are different to yours and that is my right! Goodness me!! such vitriol! definitely last comment!! You have not read what I have said. If someone steals from you whatever the value they should know that this is not allowed. This is part of trying to learn our children to respect law, to respect other peoples property. I have placed many trackables and only ever had one not go missing. this is different, he has actually admitted he is keeping it and therefore sdome action however futile should be taken. No sleep will be lost over losing trackable. But he /she should have some action against them! "deal with it or dont release tbs" how nice you are. I have and i will.

This will be my last comment on the subject that I can only assume you have misunderstood. I have had many travellers go missing this is a fact of using them and playing the game. But when you have a member openly admits basically stealing the item as he has assumed the rights of ownership and is not moving on and told geocaching.com that he is keeping it them some action however futile should be taken. This is totally different to losing lures etc as I too am a fisherman. If someone came and deliberately stole your lures or borrowed them and then refused to return would you simply say" Well its one of those things". Well I certainly wouldnt. You cant have seen how many years I have been a member either so I forgive you. Thank you for your helpful answers and true I wont be using trackables again. FIXED SEE LAST POST

FIXED but dunno why! maybe this was something to do with the last geocaching.com downtime but after much searching and trial and error I have fixed it.. When your on the map page theres a button for set map preference. Now mine has aLways had the choice of all maps by default(these are called LEAFLET) open street maps cycle map etc etc for some reason it was set to just map or satelite.(Google maps) As soon as I chose the usual map choices(leaflet) Im use to from this button..bingo I can now select geocaches as I allways did. Why it doesnt work on just the two map selection though I dont know. So if your having this problem choose from the select map preferences button on the interactive map page..

Never had this problem before after a few years as a member. I have found if I right click on the cache symbol the box pops up but it is slow. I have found also that I only have choice of two maps satelite or map..but if I LOG OUT I have choice of all maps?? Driving me scatty come on geocaching.com fix it for us!

Suddenly I cant select any of the cache symbols/icons on interactive maps. i can see them all but no pop up description when you select one. is this just me or is there a general fault?

Hi. I am about to submit a new cache and wondered if it is allowed/ettiquette to place a geocoin found in another cache (not your own) in your own cache. I would not do this with a cache of my own allready up and running but wondered if ok with a brand new cache?
