  1. That looks like what I will do. I will post them soon on ebay with a starting price just a little lower than the best offered price I received thru email. My family and I are going thru a difficult situation right now and without getting into details, I have decided to sell the coins. As anyone who collects geocoins or anything else knows, its a very painful decision to have to part with something you collect and enjoy. I want to thank everyone for their kind words and hopefully everything works out and I can once again continue to be a part of this community.
  2. Some questions that have been asked so far are: 1) Will the current Holiday Coin Series be affected? No, this will not affect the current series, but once the four coins are done, then that will be it. 2) Why not sell them on that "e" site individually? Well, I did not want to flood the market with over 200 coins, which would more than likely bring a lower price for the coins. I could put the coins on a little at a time, but if I had time, then I could find another way to raise money. Not to mention the shipping and handling of each separate coin would be a nightmare. 3) Why don't I put the entire collection on that 'e' site? Haven't completely ruled that out. If interest is high then I may need to post it there. That way the buyer has some sort of guarantee and buyer rights.
  3. Yes, you heard it right, my entire collection is up for sale. I did not come to this decision lightly, but due to some circumstances beyond my control, I have decided that I should sell my entire collection of coins. If anyone is interested, they can send an offer thru the profile here on gc.com . Serious offers only, and NO I will not sell coins individually at this time. It's either all or nothing. You can see my list of coins here: My Coin List This is a collection of well over 200 unique geocoins along with several doubles.
  4. Just waiting on the final determination of the four holidays, so that I can create a unique icon to cover them all, or I may just have to settle on an icon to cover just one holiday (a Christmas Tree).
  5. Coins should ship around the middle of January. As for the icon, I have been holding off until I make a final determination of the holidays that will be represented. That way I can make an icon to help cover the four holidays or just one of the holidays.
  6. Have any left to trade? Personal for personal.
  7. Just 93?!?! There are quite a bit more than 93. A few hundred would be more accurate.
  8. Sorry all, haven't looked here lately. The international coins were shipped out about 2 weeks ago. They were sent parcel post, which means it may take from 2-5 weeks to get them. Now before everyone starts to complain, that's the shipping rate. I could have them sent faster, but the postage would have been well over $5 for 5 coins. The coins are a 2" coin so they are heavier and cost a little more. Some people overseas have already received their coins, hopefully your coins arrive before Christmas, if not I do apologize for that delay, but the postal service can be fast or slow, especially at this time of year.

  15. SOLD OUT!!! All coins have been sold. If you didn't get in on the order, there were plenty of multiple orders, so set up your trades with those individuals. Thanks again to everyone, and I will try to keep all informed of the process.
  16. I don't know the situation at all, but I do know that in the US Army, the First Sergeant's number is always 7. He is known by his call sign on the radio or at meetings by this. Usually the company will have a letter designation, like A, B, or C for the companies. The companies take on a name that usually coordespond with their letter but not always. For example, I belong to a C Co, and we call ourselves Cobra Company, our First Sergeant is known as Cobra 7. Just thought I would put that out, but like I said, I don't know the situation and haven't read up on it that much.
  17. Not really, the series should be complete by late spring / early summer. I tried to look out at the whole year and pick 4 holidays, Independence Day and Labor Day won't be used. Once the 4 coins are done, that will be it, unless I decide to create a 5th coin available at 1 each to everyone who purchased the other 4, making it a limited edition coin with a specific number. Kinda like a bonus coin.
  18. Yes, there share the same icon. Once all 4 coins are finished there will be 2000 coins total (4 x 500 coins) for the same icon. The third coin may very well be a shamrock shaped coin for St. Pat's Day, something like a cache at the end of the rainbow with a leprechaun holding a GPSr type theme.
  19. The Christmas Coin turned out great and now it's time to order the second coin in the series of 4 Holiday Coins. The second coin in the geocaching.com trackable Holiday Coin series is the Groundhog Day Geocoin. This coin features a groundhog seeing his shadow on one side with the saying, "Six more weeks of winter caching", and the other side has him not seeing his shadow with the saying, "Early springtime caching". This coin will be due to ship by the middle of January 2006. There will only be 500 made and the coin will be 1.75" diameter with color on both side as well as the Holiday Coin tracking code which is trackable on gc.com (prefix HC). Order Coins here
